I have also contacted a lwyer who is different from my company lawyer. She has offered to put my case forward to USCIS (not WOM) for $ 300. She said they have means of bringing the case to their attention if its fallen through the cracks.
Do you think its worth trying ? my only copncern is she wants me to sign a new G28 and Im worried about issues with my existing case since I dont want to mess withh my company lawyer and I think I want to keep him as the attorney on file. Per this new lawyer thats not an issue and they will only be the attorney for inquiry purposes.

Yes you are right, there is bound to have EAD flood in market, with spouses of hi-tech worker will come to market to search hi-tech job with spouse phone support. I have seen such cases countless times in past few years and yes they will be in future without exception. However, matter of fact, these fresh EAD (previous H4) don't get the dream job in first attempt, it takes good 2 year to find a similar job that H1b hitech worker does.
But thats the realty of market, every year new jobs are added and every year new job seekers join the crowd.
On the otherside, a hitech worker is suppose to always learning something new and getting his/her position more stronger everyday, its a knowledge market, whoever knows more gets better $$. With my 7yr US exp and total 10 yrs CS exp I have no scare that any single fresh EAD will come close to me. A senior is always a senior no matter which field you talk.

I think I have joined IV in last 3 years or so...
Donated money once & have called congressmen & senators many times ...
Could someone please tell me -
What has been achieved by IV till date? I know we all meet elected reps, officials in washington dc ..... but I am interested in end result like not wasting visa numbers , implementing spillover & along these lines.
I have asked few friends to join IV but then if they ask me for IV accomplishments - i can't count any....

Could someone please tell me -
What has been achieved by IV till date? I know we all meet elected reps, officials in washington dc ..... but I am interested in end result like not wasting visa numbers , implementing spillover & along these lines.
I have asked few friends to join IV but then if they ask me for IV accomplishments - i can't count any....
If IV has accomplished its objectives, then there is no need for any of us to join. But anyway, the following might be listed...hope this helps.

1. September 2009. Streamlining of Security Screening Process for Foreign Scientists: DHS reduced the wait times for Visa stamping in foreign consulates to 2 weeks. This included elimination of per country limits Bill on which no other organization or business interest had ever advocated until that time. Immigration Voice successfully advocated these bills, brought in co-sponsors and received support from other interests for these bills.

Think of it this way, there are already 280M US citizens who didn't take your H1B job for one reason or another, but most likely due to insufficient education or experience in your field.
The additional 500k potential EADs, of course, are a bit different in that their I-140s are approved (this is the scenario we expect to play out on Tuesday afternoon). What this means is that they are also in the pool of people whose job position could not be filled by a US citizen. If they are in your field, they may potentially be competing for your job, and it will indeed be easier for your employer to hire one of them because there is no H1B petition cost or hassle for the employer to go through.
Hiring an H1B is a barrier for your employer. It is there, but it is not particularly high, especially if you are not a new H1B but a renewal. You can just hope that your qualifications bring something on board with the company that is enough to overcome that barrier.

The message says designated time frame, without specifying what the "designated time frame" is. I am just curious, where did you find that 120 days is the "designated time frame"?

As of now, for the background/name check -time frame in FBI rule-book is 120 days. It will be great if uscis can approve AOS if nothing adverse is reported by FBI within 120 days
