U donno where to even start. My argument was based on relativity and "most of" theory and never was 100%.

DREAM Act Re-introduced in the Senate
A day after President Obama gave a speech on immigration, Senators Richard Durbin, Harry Reid, Robert Menendez and 30 others re-introduced the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act that would allow young undocumented people to apply for legal status if they join the military or attend college for two years.
Each year about 65,000 undocumented students who were brought to the U.S. by their parents, often as very young children, graduate from high school and face a bleak future because of their status. Last fall, despite President Obama�s strong support, the DREAM Act passed the House but failed to attract the 60 votes needed to end a Senate filibuster.
Chung-Wha Hong, executive director of the New York Immigration Coalition welcomed the move, but pointed out that the bill faces a slim chance in the current Congress and said the President should use the authority of his office to protect young undocumented immigrants.

I strongly support this campaign.
Also, I would check with my friends about their support.
Would it be a good idea to mention the costs/efforts involved in this visa stamping tours.
Especially, all dependents including infants/kids need to go either to canada or India forcing to loose 3-4 days of vacation.
Neither of party's ( US gov nor Visa aspirants) are gaining any benefit.

Does this (given below) means DOL has the authority to find something and send Notice of Intenet to Revoke at any point of time during the GC process?
"The DOL Perm rule, at 20 CFR 656.32 provides for the revocation of approved labor certifications by DOL if a subsequent finding is made that the certification was not justified. In such instances, DOL provides notice to the employer in the form of a Notice of Intent to Revoke an approved labor certification that contains a detailed statement of the grounds for the revocation and the time period allowed for the employer's rebuttal. The employer may submit evidence in rebuttal within 30 days of receipt of the notice. If rebuttal evidence is not filed by the employer, the Notice of Intent to Revoke becomes the final decision of the Secretary. If the employer files rebuttal evidence and DOL determines the certification should nonetheless be revoked, the employer may file an appeal under 20 CFR 656.26 within 30 days of the date of the adverse determination. If the labor certification is revoked, DOL will also send a copy of the notification to USCIS and the Department of State."

This is so depressing ...
Are they still talking about increasing H1Bs? That will create a bigger mess and those new H1Bs will have to wait 20 years before they can apply I485. Hopefully those who wish to come here as H1B will know the reality and won't be "trapped" as some of us have.
If they are still coming, that would be... well... hopeless. :rolleyes:

That's ok, totally understand.
Sorry, I did not raise my arm to indicate that it was ALL sarcasm. Durbin is aginst H1B. Although his press release says that he is not against green cards, but thats just bull.
And if he is appointed Labor Secretary, that will be the last straw to break the camel's back.

Man, this place just needs a reason to go all-out hysterical. Seriously, what is the problem with this regulation? Employment verification is just the DMV's way of finding out if the person is in legal status. You had to show this letter when you got your visa stamped didn't you? Similarly, American citizens have to show proof of citizenship while applying for a driver's license. These are good law-enforcement measures the govt is taking to prevent out of status immigrants from getting a driver's license.

In mycase I went to the local USCIS office and the IO there sent an e-mail as well but no news on my FP yet. Try your luck.
