Immigration Voice: President's vision on immigration "in the right direction"

The President’s call to reform in his State of the Union speech last night is an acknowledgement that has been decades in the making, he took it a step further by rightly calling out on policies that “makes no sense.” His vision and continued support on finding solutions to fix these problems is a step in the right direction.
America’s competitiveness and the initiative of keeping the jobs in the US, from being outsourced rests with the highly educated and skilled labor force within the country. The President’s vision of “let’s stop expelling talented, responsible young people who can staff our research labs, start new businesses, and further enrich this nation" is commendable. The highly educated foreign nationals are forced to seek employment elsewhere due to the long waiting periods in attaining green cards. Nearly a million people are stuck in the process and their prime creative years are submerged in the uncertainties of acquiring permanent residency in the country, and their entrepreneurial ventures are curtailed. The need for a bipartisan solution to reform the employment based green card systems that American employers use to recruit and retain the best and the brightest from around the world has become an immediate necessity.
As the President noted, “No workers - no workers are more productive than ours. No country has more successful companies or grants more patents to inventors and entrepreneurs. We're the home to the world's best colleges and universities, where more students come to study than any place on Earth.” Immigrants come to this country with the very dream the President described, to be a part of the great American workforce, working hard and giving their very best to the country. Aman Kapoor, Immigration Voice founder and president stated, “By tying the economic prosperity with innovation, President Obama has successfully merged the prosperity of our economy with fixing employment based immigration and the tremendous talents that is just waiting to be unleashed.”

Forum Gurus, i have a basic question. Currently i'm employed by a corporation and working full time for them under H1B. Now, i want to work for additional company as part time (approx. 20 hrs/week). This company cannot give me cash but only check. Is it possible to file additional H1B just for this company and start working for them under this new H1B?
My current status is: H1B approved with current company and I-140 approved.
Also, if the answer to my question above is yes, then could this affect my current H1B and approved I-140 in any ways. Thanks in advance.

First make sure if that was an arrest record or some thing else. During the interview process, they will ask the standard questions on I-485 form, which are like have you ever been arrested etc. Even though your lawyer may not present, you check with your lawyer what to answer for those questions. Even though you may not be knowing exactly what it is, it is better to get it clarified rather than learning during the interview process.

And they charged fine of $300 and we paid it. They also took copy of her passport and gave a letter (name is: Department of homeland security. U.S customs and border protection. Notice of alleged violation)
It was my wife's mistake actually, she did not declared meat products in customs form.
In the interview, if IO asks my wife about any violations or criminal records, does she has to give info on that port of entry incident? Will there be any negetive effects on this?

On Receipt of filing, you can apply for FAFSA (student loan).
You are first in the line.
Six months will pass by and hopefully you will get EAD in 3 months.
If dates retrogress, you still have a sooner AC21.
With filing and FP, all that you need to do are done. No worries.

No - basically Uni's say "it's up to you, we're here to support you but we do not recommend you take this route, take it up with an immigration lawyer etc etc"

All,
I submitted my first application on July 2nd. since I did not get receipt notice till Aug 16th so I filled the second (as back up) one on Aug 16th. Later I did get my receipt notices for July 2nd.
Though, I did put stop payment on the checks for the appliaction filled on Aug 16th but yesterday, I received their receipt notices.
Now, I have two A#s one for July 2nd applications and another one for Aug 16th appliaction.
I was planning to just sit on it and do not respond to finger printing notice or any communciation from USCIS for Aug 16th application and hence causing it to get rejected.
The reason I do not want to communicate with USCIS is that I don't want any confusion and hence anything happen to my July 2nd application.
Is it a right strategy? Please comment.

For a valid visa stamp you need a passport with six month validity. But I have not seen any where for traveling you need a six month validity. If you personally experienced any problem while traveling with less than six valid passport. please post your experience it will help me and others.

I have PD with dec 2006 and 140 approved. Filed 485 in July 2007. For october 2008 I will be done with 4 years of H1b. I am single and I may not get married untill later 2009 due to some family responsibalities. I am kind of concered about 485 getting approval by then which might jeoperdise my spouse visa later. Based on the present processing speed, mine might take minmum 2 years. But bit concerend what if USCICS make a mistake in processing 485 in terms of picking 485 from a later date and approving it?
So my query is...
1. If I now withdraw my 485 and later change company. SHould I again get a new labor and i140 approved with new company to file for 485.( Here I understand I can port my PD.).
Any inputs will be greatly apprecited....
I think you are fine having a Dec 2006 priority date, you can take a risk, probability of getting approval is less than 1%.
One of my friend with Sep 2003 PD, getting married on August and he is taking risk and praying God that his GC should not get approved before his marriage.

I received a RFE on experience letters (EB3). I have searched everywhere but haven't found the format for a winning experience letter.
Can someone with an approved 140 please paste a format of the experience letter on this thread?

I'd worked for multiple employers prior to filing labor. Each employer experience letter is of different format. Only think you need to make sure, the letter reflect is the period you worked for the company, you role/title in the company, and the technologies you were working on. In some case, you might have the salary mentioned too. There is no such thing as a format, and each company has its own. If you had worked for one of the larger organization, you might get only on the standard format as per the company guidelines. You can have an additional, notarised letter from a co-worker or your previous manager.. along with the letter from your previous employer, if you are not able to get in a specific format. I'm not sure on the letters to submit in case of a RFE.. but in general this works.

I am in a similar situation..
I work for Company A on H1b which is valid till 2009 & expired Visa stamp, but I have filed a GC application thru company B and got EAD and Parole.
So if I leave the country, can I re-enter on company B's parole and still continue to work on Company A's H1b?

I am in the same suitation my wife wants to stay home for few years, currently she is on H1B and we are planning to convert to H4 . Why does one have to wait for a new H1B since she already had a H1B can't she get H1B any time without having to wait for the quota to open ?

But yeah, you are right.... Steve was much better. My sister used to work at a day care center where one of her kids was like a 2nd cousin to that guy or something like that. She said Steve was forced to wear the long sleeve shirt because his arms are covered with tattoos. Just more useless facts.
