Lou Dobbs does not care about legal high skilled immigrants he no longer refers to H1bs as H1bs but rather as "cheap foreign labor". His wife is Mexican-American but he does not hesistate to attack Mexico and any vulnerable immigrant group, for that, he makes over $6m a year for his rhetoric, he has even gone as far as being linked to hate groups and supremacist organizations. Media matters is an organization that exposes Lou Dobbs' lies, next time Lou Dobbs or Fox (the channel) attacks legal high skilled immigrants and does so using falsehoods, it would not be out of order for IV members to contact Media Matters and set out the truth.

I understand your situation as i was there once. If you dont have insurance than your options are very limited. if you live in dallas county parkland hospital is your only choice. Parkland has a network of several clinics around DFW area. Every clinic has financial assistance department. You can visit any of those and they will setup a payment plan which is reasonable based on your income. You will visit them for all prenatal care and when the time comes for delivery it will be taken to parkland. and parkland is a very good hospital as well. beside parkland several hospitals also offer cash plans like RHD memorial at 635 but they will charge you close to 4k just for delivery day and if its a normal one. you will have to do prenatal at your own.

I am glad to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I saw a welcome e-mail from USCIS today in the morning. Took 6 years to get the GC with a total stay of 10 years.

I-140 :Approved on Mar 2006
Invoked AC21 on September and sent all necessary docs. No LUDs then.
I think ex-employer have revoked I-140 already but not sure (He threaten me in 2007 that he will do so in I invoke AC21).
Now check this out:

I think we need an IV movement to fix the Indian Consulates - They are absolutely pathetic - Lets get our house in order before we try to fix the USCIS !!! Does anybody know what is the email address for Meera Shankar - Indian Ambassador to US. We need to bombard her with emails about how badly the Indian consulates in the US are run.
You can "bombard" only when there is any space or they care about space.
Try every consulate/embassy's phone numbers, you can't even leave a VOICE MESSAGE.
You send an email to the email addresses, even your 5th generation great grandson won't get a reply.

- My lawyer wants to refile (with no addional lawyer fees). Does it make any sense to re-file?

Taking up the DREAM Act issue will strengthen the IV cause...by showing how legals are getting short-changed from every angle on the entire immigration issue.
It requires a very small change in the DREAM Act as contained in CIR. Just remove the clause that says it will apply to Z visa holders. In any case, Z visa no longer exists since CIR failed. But I am afraid the will replace it by some condition requiring undocumented presence. Remaining conditions apply to legals as well:
(from the failed CIR)
� Have maintained continuous physical presence in the U.S. since 1/1/07
� Was under 30 years of age on date of enactment
� Was under age 16 at time of initial entry into U.S.
� Have obtained U.S. high school diploma or GED
� Have not been absent from the U.S. for more than 365 total days during period of conditional residence (except those absent due to U.S. military service)
� Have acquired a degree from a U.S. higher ed institution; or completed 2 years in Bachelor�s degree program or higher at such an institution; or have served at least 2 years in the U.S. military
� Has provided a list of all of the secondary educational institutions he or she has attended in the U.S
If the push is for amendment to include legal kids , I would be more than happy to support any effort. I can only offer tepid support if it is exclusively for kids of undocumented people. Both kind of kids are here because of their parents' actions.

That is accurate I have done 10+2+1+3
For EB3 one needs to show 4 years of degree and 2 years of experiance. Normally every degree year is equivalent to 3 years of experiance. I don't know how USCIS sees diploma. In your case a very strong evaluation certificate is needed.

If I were you, I would discuss this before the wedding. Its too important an issue not to disclose, in my opinion.

Its very very important to discuss this with your future wife. If your marriage starts with telling a lie, IMO, its not a good sign. Whether its good or bad, just talk to her and discuss the best available option. If she is really understanding and supportive of the decision you both make, then you have already started your marriage life with flying colors...:)
And BTW, if you are considering reentry permit (to be out of US for more than allowed time on PR) NEVER APPLY REENTRY PERMIT WHILE YOU ARE OUTSIDE THE U.S. IT'S GONNA BE DENIED AND THE APPEAL WILL ALSO BE DENIED...And you will be stuck outside U.S. with a PR...

The only way all these things seem to move along is because of Immigration help community like IV and experienced lawyers who have interpreted these ambiguous laws.
At the end of the day it is all about Money, everyone has their piece of cake.

I am now using this opportunity (retrogression) to get my 3 yr H1-B extension through premium processing. Who knows when they stop this again?

I am not an expert in starting a poll - But I think it will help to take a headcount for /year PD basis.
Esp. 2002,2003,2004,2005,Until June1,2006 cases. Proportion of which could serve as some kind of estimate - Can be cross checked with for sanity.

I understand that is not a reliable source of tracking approval pattern, however, this is the only tracker we have available and this gives us fairly good idea about USCIS processing.
Based on , there are about 1200 Approvals for EB-2 (Including ROW, India and China) since Oct01 2007.
However, there are only 450 approvals for EB-3 (Including ROW, India and China) sine Oct01'2007.
So howcome they ran out of EB3 numbers when there are very few approvals for this year. I was hoping they will run out of EB2 numbers instead.
Any insight on this?
