According to LC, my labor got approved on Aug 9th, but we received actual paper on Sep 9th .. So lost the chance to FILE 485
DOL took more than a month TO send papers ..
There is no point in blaming IV . They are the BEST ..
It is US Govt agencies who are lazy and ineptitude.
US did not get Civil Rights in one year .. it took decades of fight ...
IV is fighting for every one ..

You have gone over all my other threads and what I have and have not done in those threads except provide me with an anwer to the above question. When will you learn to provide an explanation backing up your opinion and comment? How old do you have to be, to be able to substantiate your argument with valid reasons?

Now how does that makes me an anti-immigrant :mad: :mad: :mad: . I am ofcourse happy that so many of my friends here are going one step further in getting GC. Something is better than nothing. But, suddenly more than 1/2 mill people getting EAD will have some effect on the market. People(on H1B) loosing jobs after 3-4 months may find themselves in a difficult situation to get a job.
I am on H1B myself, how can I ever be an anti-immigrant ?:) :) I was expecting a little bit more permamnent solution and not a band-aid solution as somebody pointed out.

In the previous month, EB3-INDIA date was April22nd,2001. Now it moved to May8th2001. Now, the people with PD's from April22rd2001 to May7th2001 are eligible to apply or ready for adjudication of 485. That means, probably, there are lot of 485(245i) cases to be adjudicated? What do you all think?

This is what I got from 4 separate lawyers when I was invoking AC-21. I think everybody should speak to a lawyer before invoking AC-21.
A lot of people out there think that after getting EAD one can invoke AC-21 to change to any job at any employer. This is not true. AC-21 is pretty complicated and I think that in the future, if there is no change in the law, a lot of 485 applications will be pending for 6-8 years or more. And for the duration of this period, a lot of people will invoke AC-21. I also think that the rate for rejection for number of AC-21 cases at USCIS will be higher. Nobody told me about the approximate wait time and rejection rate. It is just what I think based upon the developing situation.

when did u inform uscis about your new employer.
Was there much difference in ur salary?
Is your GC approved? Which stage are u in.

Even today i came across a friend saying according to his so and so friends thinking , EB2 should move very fast as last time it jumped from 2002 - 2004 or what ever in 2 months !!!!... There are lot of people who dont understand the depth of the problem , the yearly limit , country quota etc..
I think the only way to make them understand is to tell that since 1 million people are in queue and only 140K GC per year , your GC will take any where from 8-15 years.. :)

I havnt received my AP applied Jun 29 2007.Nebraska.
Whenever we call them they have a standard answer 30 days,then 60 days.
Latest 30 days.
Its the same for GC too.
They are least bothered.CHC must have been everything.Is every immigrant genious,scientists,doctors,engineers like they have argued.They cannot build wall with only so called expected genious.
Discrimination to the core.
Not even next summer.

Guys, I have no travel plans for now. But as an FYI, If my AP or for that matter my EAD expires before renewal, can you apply for a new EAD/AP? :confused: Assuming you cannot renew them anymore, of course I doubt you can.

You're right, the point I was making is the real intention of these Senators...When you want to scr.ew somebody you ask questions that are hard and mostly unanswerable....Take this example, Look at the requirement that Hyderabad Consulate has put up for H1B Visa Stamping, it sounds like they are saying don't you dare!!!Find the pdf with the questions he asked and compare to the answers they gave.

I think it was Zoe lofgren who sent a letter with very pointed questions to USCIS. I don't believe they made public their answer or if they answered it at all; and instead of fighting with Senator they reversed course and opened up the visa dates again. (A big part of me thinks that it was pure financial decision. USCIS was going to have fee increase and they realized that they would lose a lot of money but after they did their analysis; they realized their breakeven point was each candidate renewing ead/ap once and they would break even. They would even come out further ahead by allowing the applications because people would be renewing at least three times whereas in old fee structure it was only built in for one renewal).

I did post about this. We have seen professor's expert opinion letters showing the equivalency to the MA being approved. However, the evidence does point to an equivalency to a BA.

How can CA/ICWA be equivalent to MS programs as they are post high school courses? These courses do not require graduation for admission.
