It will be interesting to hear from people who have or are required to sing certain contracts with their employers.
I am assuming the employers logic can be that - "well we were the ones who really paid for your labor cert" and that may be true as far as DOL is concerned. But my logic is if I reimburse you that money a year or two down the line, doesn't that mean that eventually I had to pay for my labor cert :)
I am also interested to know what kind of contracts the employers are having people sign - reimburse us if you leave within a certain time frame (2 or 3 years from when your GC process was initiated by the company) or are the contracts more like - reimburse us full amount no matter when you leave during pending GC process.

Right off the bat I'd say you need five years of progressive experience after bachelor to qualify for EB2. Secondly, the job must require that level of qualification and experience. However, you may want to ask an immigration attorney.

We must push for our agenda to get our provisions in the base bill as CIR is being drafted currently. If we do not get our provisions in the base bill then it is much harder to get them attached to the bill in the form of amendments.
IV therefore requests its members, to call up and start scheduling lawmaker meetings NOW. Please take appointments with your local lawmakers of both houses of Congress. We are organizing national and state level calls to coordinate this effort. You will be given detailed instructions on how to schedule meetings, what to carry, and most importantly present the IV community’s agenda and present solutions. � Medical form which the USCIS designated civil surgeon is required to use was initially revised on 04/08/2008, followed by the USCIS announcement that any I-693 form version earlier than 04/08/2008 should not be used by the civil surgens from May 1, 2008. In the middle of June, the USCIS released again new version form dated 06/05/2008 and announced that the old version other than 06/05/2008 should not be used effective 07/14/2008. July 14, 2008 is tomorrow. However, without a news release, the USCIS form site extended invalid date of forms earlier than 06/05/2008 to 08/01/2008. Please now note that "Previous editions will be accepted only for medical exams conducted before August 1, 2008. Medical exams conducted on or after August 1, 2008, require use of the 06/05/08 edition," according to the form site instruction.
� There was a confusion in June 2008 on the validity of older version form I-9 because the USCIS form site instructed that the older version was not acceptable from certain date. In Vancouver, the USCIS authority confirmed that the form instruction was an error and the USCIS form instruction has since been corrected. It will help tremendously if the USCIS releases an announcement that the current I-693 form instruction is indeed correct and the civil surgeons can use the I-693 forms which are older than 06/05/2008 version can still be used. In the meantime, the civil surgeons and the immigrants should check on the date of the medical examination with the I-693 form site to protect themselves from any changes. The form site indicates that the information was updated on June 26, 2008. One wonders whether the civil surgeons may be better off to start using the 06/05/2008 version form from even now just to avoid any confusion in the future. Excellent Strategy
For the lay person to understand the economic consequences of skilled immigration, one can ask what would happen if they took a million highly skilled American workers out of the economy. That would clearly be bad.
How would the removal of a million skilled non-Americans be different? The economy as a whole would take a major hit in both cases.

2) I-134 ( convinced that they will need this even for H4 dependent )
3) did not ask for W2's or pay stubs
4) of course original medicals in closed envelope
5) all previous H4 approvals + I94's and color photocopy of entire passport
6) photos and required cheque's

Just now my lawyer called to tell that she got all my receipts , filed on july 2nd but my wifes application was rejected for "insufficient filing fees", I had put in a single check for $745 , how can this be, it was both in the same fedex packet, she says it is some "mailroom error", so she sent back the application with a letter and my receipt copy to accept. I'm a geek and like tech toys a lot, but when it comes to phones I just want it to be a good phone. I don't want it to include a poor PDA, or a lousy camera. I can see how it could be handy for some people and a fun toy for others, but personally I prefer to carry separate and fully functional phone, Palm Pilot and camera. It's great if they communicate though. I did get a new phone recently because I like the Bluetooth concept, for a wireless headset and for dial-up from my Palm or laptop. Other than that I don't like any of the new features yet. On top of being fiddly to use and low quality the prices here for using any picture or video based services are silly. It also often requires you to sign up for at least a year with a phone that's locked to a specific operator, even after the contract expires, a business model I really don't like.

It's suprisingly difficult to get people to make calls - most of them think it is silly or wrong to lobby, when the fact of the matter is that, the louder ones are those who get heard - not necessarily the ones who have a stronger case :(

Recognize that there are many among us who have Phds from top 5 schools and are currently employed as professors and researchers. Many of them are in EB-2 and going through this same BS as you and me. If you feel so frustrated and betrayed, imagine what these professors and researchers must be going through. Life is never fair .. that is nature's way.
Some people will inevitably get a GC on a platter .. whether that is by way of winning a diversity lottery, or family immigration or a fake marriage. No point wasting time in self-pity.
People who did BSc and BA...have gotten thier Gc approved recently...by getting pre-approved..LC's applying in e2-rir even though they do not qualify in EB2.people who did MS from top schools and stayed with good companies are in e2/ e3 categories are in BEC.....What an irony..

Still Waiting... Frustrated after seeing so many out of turn approvals for later PD's.

Last LUD : 04/14/09 (Aftter Replying to EVL RFE for Primary and Marriage Cerificate for Spouse).
Be Patient, i do fee that all whose pd is before jan 2005 EB2 India will get their GC.
