Thanks for the advice all. I am still thinking about it, but since the newer model is going to come out next year I may go with the newer one.
On the other hand, a good rule of thumb is never to buy a first generation of anything. In this case, a new design...so we will see.

Oh yes...it's real. The prototypes of the OMP are getting rare nowadays. It will be interesting to see what it goes for, once the Newton aficionados hear about it. :p I myself have a MessagePad 2000 that I use constantly.

a cool key combo i accadentially discovered not to long ago is the command + ~ this will cycle through the open windows of the current program. so if you have 3 windows in safari open it will only cycle through them and not go to another program.
Actually its the ` not ~, since ~ would require the Shift key :D

Ok, here is the issue. I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch 2.4 Core 2 Duo (late 2007 model) with 6GB of RAM (DDR2 667). I don't know how to explain this because I am so pissed! Ok so let me try. Take a look at this screenshot.
In proper English (the one spoken in Britain), pissed = drunk out of your head, pissed off = annoyed. I assume you are annoyed because you have just enough knowledge to get all heated up under your collar, but not enough knowledge to actually understand things.
Unused memory is useless. You bought 6 GB of RAM to use it. Freeing up the inactive memory just wastes it. What you want to do is like renting a huge storage space and paying lots of money for it, filling it with your stuff, and then complaining that you don't have any empty storage space left. That's the point of it, to be used.
I cant open other apps because there is only 28.6MB of memory FREE..
You _think_ you can't open other apps. If you had tried it, you would have seen that the application is started just fine, and the "inactive" memory gets instantly turned into "used" memory for the next application. And if you have neither unused nor inactive memory, you can still start more applications. The operating system will then automatically use the hard drive instead of RAM, which is slower but still works.

I liked the hockey puck mouse and still use one on my G4 tower.
I thought the original Pro Mouse with the adjustment on the bottom was very good, the mouse with the scroll ball on top was just awful with how quickly it would gum up.
Now I'm happy with the Magic Mouse, happy after a bought a charger and a few sets of batteries to have on hand...

I was thinking about getting a few of these to get some songs. I went to iTunes to see how to go about using the cards. They say on the Apple WebSite just look for pre-paid card button, but I can seem to find it. Tried the login, but that asks of for lots of info... I just want to buy some songs and DON'T WANT TO GIVE MY CREDIT CARD INFO... Thats why the cards.
So where is this button... Do I have to have a Login???

assuming the express is of the newer "N" kind, it needs to be configured to extend the network created by the TC.

I was experiencing the same message ("None of the items in this playlist can be burned to disc", even while trying to burn a regular audio CD.
The message appeared when I had the playlist selected on the left, then pressed burn.
I tried checking all the check boxes next to the songs in the list. This allowed me burn the disc.
It seems like a bug -- why wouldn't itunes just alert me that "no items were selected to burn"?

Thanks, I used an intel mac in target mode and it worked great. Now if I could only figure out which version of itunes will run on this imac..... but maybe thats another thread.
