O by the way Dreadnought. I plan on passing you! I have had one work unit turned in on my mac pro now it was worth 700 points and it took 22 hours. I have also lost a work unit which gaves errors(this was before the SMP client when public beta) However I have one sitting on my computer at home finished, I just found out how to upload it. I had a configuration thing set wrong. And I will have another one done by the end of today. :) I will catch up pretty fast with your current output. ;)
So when are you planning on doing this? Don't see anywhere in the top 100 :p
and my G5 gets a bit of a rest instead of folding 24/7. It uses a lot of power and am trying to cut down my electric bill.

Hi all,
Just curious to see how many have a apple laptop and and Ipad. Work just bought me a MBP last week and I already have a Ipad 2. Just trying to justify the two, maybe I sell the ipad 2 because I have to keep the laptop. By the way, I love both of them...I use the Ipad 2 for reading books, magazines etc...

I am seriously considering camping out as I REALLY want one as soon as possible... Has anyone been at this location for a launch before? Is it pretty popular? I was hoping that maybe it wasn't as popular of an Apple store and that the lines would be shorter... that and I live in Oakland about 5 minutes away!

Ok, so I ended up taking the plunge and buying a Peel 520, My iPod is working perfectly as a phone, however there is one very annoying bug which I wonder if anyone has had a reasonable work around for. Now being able to change volume when your headphones are plugged in is a known bug but I was wondering if anyone had found a fix for it other then drilling a hole in the case.

I've had this happen to me.
Seems to happen only when I've rebooted a system (maybe from sleep state -- see the next paragraph for a possible explanation). I guess it sees some ghost of the old system around (BonJour I expect) and renames itself to avoid conflict.
I've got a Mac mini server handling DHCP/DNS. I know this only happens on a specific system that doesn't have a fixed IP address assigned using the "Static Maps" page in Server Admin. But it might not be the server at fault. I also have an AirPort Extreme that does the Wake-on-LAN for the system. Since it responds to BonJour requests for sleeping systems, if it thinks the system being rebooted is asleep when a new one appears with a different IP address (via DHCP assignment).
If I'm right, you can solve the problem by having the DHCP service assign a fixed IP using the Static Maps.
Now if it is the server itself that is changing names, and it has a static IP, I'm baffled.

I'm planning on coming. I didn't pre-order so I'll get there pretty early. I'm going to call the store this week and try to find out if they have an idea of the number of phones not already sold through pre-order.
FWIW, I was walking by the store this weekend on the way to somewhere else so I popped in and I asked one of the workers if they were planning on having very many phones beyond the pre-order batch.
He did say that they were planning on having "some" but that he wasn't sure how long that batch would last hehe.

I find that interesting...why not use newer iPods?
I have an idea! Maybe the new iPod's are so new and good, they can't mess them up enough to get the sad iPod(or the folder icon)! Maybe CQ picked out all of the iPods before they got into the hands of the web division of Apple! Maybe they just weren't in the mood to take new pictures!
