I am getting confused here about digital photo and USCIS not accepting them. I am assuming that "digital photo" just means pictures taken from a digital camera and printed out, which is what most of the studios do anyways, so why would USCIS have any problem with it. Is there a difference in pictures taken from a digital camera vs poloroid camera? If anything, digital camera most likey will have far better picture quality than poloroid camera so what's the deal with "digital photo" being unacceptable. Or do you guys mean a photo on a floppy of something when you say digital photo.

-- Can any lawyer provide a case example to illustrate the above. We can go into detail, talk to USCIS and seek clarification.
-- Is there anywhere in the law, memo or rulebook that says 6 month employment is needed after getting green card.

Hi,
Sent letters to WH and IV. Besides, I printed 100 copies of the original template and kept them in an Indian grocery store, with the permission from the store owner, although it took a long time to explain our situation to the owner of the shop.

In the mean time a random passer by like yourselves comes along and stirs the pot again, when the fire was just about to be extinguished. I have noticed soft LUD's on all receipts including I140, H1B with all other receipts (485, EAD and AP) for my self and my spouse after using AC21 with H1B transfer.
Not received FP yet and did not call Service center for it.

Well said Janilsal. I wish we could improve the atmosphere here in IV. Less bickering, insulting and abusing each other, and more cooperative effort and sharing of knowledge to help each other. We might even increase our membership. I know a few people who stay away from IV because of all the insults and abuses that are posted.

obviously jobs of all kinds - not just IT jobs - move alongwith the shift in economic activity - and this is not just about saving labor costs - but about overall balancing of demand and supply for land, labor, capital and entrepreneurship.
So, those who have high skill adaptability, geographical mobility and a strong network of professional peers are likely to continue to succeed in this game...having a GC or not would become irrelevant sooner than we probably think..
A personal comment for hpandey - not sure where you live in US- but i cant imagine how living in 300sqft lofts in NYC or shabby NJ suburbs (for many of us) and doing all grocery/ laundry/ housekeeping/ NYC type commute on your own can be any worse than living in delhi or mumbai or bangalore with driver, domestic helps etc. :-)

I think this has a better chance than rest of other EB bills, because US wants more skilled persons and by defintion advanced degree holders from US in STEM are. Congress extended 20,000 H1 visa for US masters and PhD graduates some years ago whereas they were and are loathe to extend the total H1 numbers.
Going by this logic, I think this bill will go farther and gain traction. Lets's keep our fingers crossed.:)
In one stroke, this bill helps both a) US advanced degree graduates and b)non US graduates (i.e, EB applicants), as 1) it puts EB1 and EB2 in non quota category (I,C,P,M and ROW) and 2) frees up EB1 and EB2 numbers for EB3.

dear members,
dint had much time to go thro' your responses. but if senior ppl are targetting this fellow( mercies) for this thread, then i beg to differ. because as a member of IV, i have been answering "hadron" posts too at immigration portal.
I think all Mercies is trying to do is help IV out, by preparing answers of such questions which stupid ppl ask, so they can be put to a stop right away. Probably he's drawing your attention to some q's that all of you have answers for, just guide mercies to that post,
but i think all of your remarks have been directed towards merices only as if he's started it all.
i guess we outta stop ppl who are trying to defame this collective effort by giving them one-point answers.

Exactly! I go by a different user name at Immigration Portal, and tried my best to counter hadron's posts. I only created this thread after I saw that no people in the know were countering this guy. I am a foot soldier, not an officer.
The post from rags4u is exactly what we needed. He and another IV guy is engaged in getting things under control, as I wanted.
I wonder if this person who did all this posting without reading what is posted on the site and wasted the valuable time of IV volunteers from an anti immigration group? Please do not get distracteed guys and all those people sitting ont he edge, join in and act!!
As for all of you guys who raise the scare of anti-immigrationists at the drop of the hat - go thru all of my posts, and you will find I cannot be from numbersusa. You can also check with IV's officers and they can get my name/address from my contribution check already deposited in IV's account!
Please try to counter propaganda wherever you can - that's how we will get more people to join! Efforts like mine do not waste time - they serve a purpose!
