Folks,
A table has been created in the IV Entrepreneurs yahoo group to
facilitate a repository for you to add Help wanted /Offered information.
We all pretty well know that having one's contact information would be
of no use unless we see some beneficial activities. Towards this end
in the Help wanted /offered information table we have created 3
specific fields where you can enter your past/present/future ventures,
your areas of expertise in which you can be help to others and the 3rd
field to enter the areas of help you are looking for.
You dont need to be a master in a domain to be of help. Just a piece
of advise is good enough. Also there is nothing like a silly question
so one can ask for any kind of help.
This obviously helps identify individuals who can be of specific help
in specific areas of interest.
So please go ahead and enter the information that you feel comfortable
entering. There is no compulsion for any one to input the data but we
would strongly encourage to do so just to help each other. After all

You said your employer is agreable, in that case, If you did not get your EAD before your current EAD expires, you can choose to work for free for those days and try to get paid for it after your EAD comes in effect.
Or even if you don't get paid for it, you are building some good will and you are not jeopardizing your job. It will definitely keep you in the good books of this employer.

OH boy! USCIS has found a new way of harassing us legal immigrants ;) come on guys! Know how to solve issues. Begin by not creating a thread at IV for such issues. Talk to your utility company folks, see whats happening. Check with your landlord to know why the meter reading is so high..If they have already charge your credit card, dispute it...start by talking with real people on the phone or maybe visit the utility company personally...for God's sake dont show your ignorance like this and give more fodder to SOBs like Matt....please!!

someone just woke up after 8 months, now asking the agenda, not willing to spare a penny or bring in energy, but wants an "update" about the date & time he will get his GC in mail. Is that something new, NO, its been a consistent behavior, that's why I never liked gjoe.

I didn't want an update. I know what is going on and also when we will get our GC. I just wanted to make you realize that your goals and actions are not in sync. I hope you understand what that means.

On what basis will you apply for a H-1 transfer, your present H-1 request has been denied. Even If you apply for a MTR you have pending status, based on which you cannot request for a further extension/change of status. You can apply for a new H-1 consular processing petition, leave the country, once approved, apply for a visa from the consulate and come back on the new H-1.
As my H1 transfer got denied.... I can apply for a new H1 transfer.... right?

I read some where that filing is allowed to Aug-17, but the new fees will effected on 01-Aug although July filers.
Correct me If I'm wrong.

As mentioned by Administrator2 to report any issues with the tracker on this thread, here are issues I found.
1. I tried to sort the listing on Priority Date. The issue is that it does alphabetical sorting and not sorting according to the date. It displays all members with Apr-01, then Apr-02, then Apr-03 instead of Apr-01, May-01, Jun-01 etc.
2. Also, right now, one can just go back or forth 2 pages at a time. say if you are on page 5, it displays page 3,4,5,6 and 7 as links. It would be nice to add a longer list of pages to jump to or a drop down/text box to jump to a desired page number would be better.

I m joining new company by changing H1.
Too many questions too little input to take decission. Please provide your expertise advice.

HI All,
I currently have 797 approval document from Nov 2009 to Nov 2012 and My current 797 document is valid till Nov 2009.When i was coming back from india last week at POE the immigration officer gave me I 94 dated till Nov 2009.I said to him that as i have 797 till Nov 2012 i should get I 94 till that date.But he insisted saying as the current document is still valid he can only go with that.He cant give me I 94 date on my future 797 starting from Nov 2009.I kept asking him for about 5 min but again dint wanted argue a lot as it was border security immigration.
So what should i do now.Can i stay here after Nov 2009 or i need to go to stamping and come back before Nov 2009.What are my options.I don't have any travel plans at least a year from now.Do let me know is it mandatory for me to leave before Nov 2009.Also my New 797 as I 94 attached do you guys think if it is sufficient for me to stay here without any problems.
The officer can only look at the current I-797, cannot give an i-94 as per the future I-797. The other posters were correct last action rule does apply, however in my interpretation of the last action rule since your I-797 is not effective until November 2009 and your entry was before that, your last action in this case will be the latest I-797 and it will therefore be valid. In my opinion the Officer was correct in informing you that their is no problem for you to use your latest I-797 once the old one expires. Make sure you don't have a gap in the dates between the expiry of the old I-797 and start date of the new one.

Costco is the best place to get photoes.They took our photos and rest of my colleagues photos upto the standards.Anywhere should be ok.Just mention them that ur facial features look clear and good.I showed the photos for visa application which i took in india as sample to them.Those were clear .So they followed the standards.
