Did you indicate whether you need it in a CD instead of paper copy?
Also for the labor copy, should the request be sent to USCIS or DOL?

For Labor : you have to send request to DOL.
For 140 : you have to send request to USCIS.

How did you open Expedite SR, I opened SR nearly five times, took two InfoPass, yet not FP ?
I just got lucky..it was the second time I called on the same day. First time I jiust got one more SR (4th one). the next time I called about 2hrs later I asked her the status of my 2nd SR and told her the whole saga of how long I have been waiting and about my PD becoming current blah blah....
I have told the same sob story many times but this lady seemed to go the extra mile and put in an "expedite" request. She herself volunteered for that and told me that I would hear back in 5 days which I did. I opened the SR last Friday and I had this letter in my mail today.
Just keeping fingers crossed and hoping the notice comes thru.
I will keep you guys posted on what happens.

hello,
My mother has 10 yr multiple entry visa. She is planning to travel from Bangalore India to USA through Lufthansa Airways. She has a stop over at Frankfurt airport for about 3 hrs. Does she need to get a transit visa for that. Any recent experience or suggestion? Thanks.
If you have a valid US/Canada visa stamp, then you do not need a transit visa for Germany.

Our goal was to create an engaging, relatively fast paced and high level quick Teaser first to get people's attention and then release a Trailer with dialogues just like you mentioned in a few weeks. On exploring this topic further, I found that, at times, DOL conducts an audit to check if the employer paid the proffered wage to the beneficiary after GC approval. In case of a violation, DOL bans the employer from processing further H1�s or GC�s.
On rare occasions, USCIS revokes previously approved GC�s in case of fraud.
Also during naturalization, USCIS checks the duration of employment with the GC position after I-485 approval. Naturalization might be denied if the duration of employment is very short.
Two of my friends got a letter from DOL to answer a questionnaire about the pay, paystub gaps and all those stuff.They work for different companies.

Great news: IV core is supporting the flower campaign - see this thread (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6191). :)
We have until tonight to place in the orders so that the flowers can be delivered on Tuesday.
Everyone who kept the faith - thanks and lets continue sending emails or calling people to let them know about it.
People who said that they will send the flowers only if IV core supports it - please send flowers asap.
BTW, I am curious as to who first proposed this idea.

While what you say is technically true the visa rejection thing is not always true. We had a I-130 done for our family by our realtive yearrrs back (20 or so). I mentioned it on my visa application very clearly, so did my brother when we came here on an F-1 a few years back in, no questions asked the visa stamped and given at the consulate in 2 hours.
It's another thing that none of us used that I-130 ever.

For my recent in-laws trip, I took insurance from ICICI Lombard. As one of the previous poster mentioned they are tied up with United Healthcare and they give you an Identity Card from United Healthcare. I previously used United and they are pretty good. So its a reliable Insurance.
I took the platinum cover for my in-laws(age:mid 50s) and it came to around INR 16k for both of them for a 3 months stay, which I consider is reasonable, given a $ 250K coverage.
Previously when my parents came, I have taken ICICI Lombard. Though I was lucky enough that they did not have any medical issues and I did not need to show up at any doctor/hospital.
ICICI Lombard is only a fixed coverage plan for people age over 55 years. It is not a comprehensive coverage plan. It only pays a small fraction of the actual costs.

If you have already received your approval notice then the change in online status is a matter of time. I saw an nearlier post on the forum that said it took over a week for the online status to show that I-485 was approved.
If you could complete your profile information, it will greatly help folks like me who have the PD in the same date range.
After a long 5 years I finally received 485 case approved letter for both my case and my spouse's case. However the online status still shows pending. Is this common?. How long would it take for the online case status to be updated.

OK, now that we all are agonizing over what's gonna happen, I think the following could be a possibility. USCIS has pre-adj almost 150,000 apps and has got nothing more to do now and the new Q1 for 2010 has around 35,000 visa numbers available to be processed.
Would DOS let CIS sit on their bums with not much to do other than process any new 485s that could be filed by ROW or would DOS move the dates to 2008 or 2007 so that any more people that still need to file 485 can do so and CIS stays busy. I think they would want to keep CIS busy. this would of course not mean every one of us will get approved since EB2/3 India and china only have around ~3000 visa numbers available in Q1 2010.

If i filed for AOS, can i do a CP like what you have described here?
I chose CP in my I140 but filed for AOS.
I guess there is a procedure for switching from AOS to CP, but just wanted to know what you got to say.
