It seems to me that there is a discrimination going on with EB3 India. So far there are not many approvals why???? They are trying to suppress this EB3-India category why??? lot of approvals in EB2-India? why??? don't say they are less cases.

I filed my I-129 for H1B extension in March, 2008. It is almost 5 months. I haven't got my H1B extension approval yet.
Do any of you experience delay in H1B extension? Is it normal waiting time after July 2007 fiasco?
I am also wondering why Vermont is delaying the processing of H1B though it is not processing I-485s?
Please share your experiences.

I don't think the Canadian officers will ask you that question. But like someone else said on this thread that question may be raised by the US officers when you return. I am curious to know about this myself.
Aslo (I don't want to scare you but thought you ought to know) there's another discussion going on here http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17061 where the US officers at POE in SF airport raised an issue saying that AP can be only used for imergencies. This looks more like an isolated case but I want everyone to be aware of that case.
In my case, i do not have a valid H-1B visa stamp. I recently visited India and used Advance Parole. Questions related to this

My husband received CPO mail on 08/04, welcome mail on 08/05, soft LUD on 08/06 and approval notice sent mail on 08/09 but dated 08/08 in USCIS status. Hoping to have the GC in hand next week.

They did nothing wrong legally , its a tradition that DOS doesnt change the visa bulletin in a month..ITS NOT A LAW.
The max we could get from a lawsuit is damages(financials) , and as USCIS is a fees funded organisatiom , its gonna come back to us
In one way we should be happy that the USCIS is cleaning its internal backlog,

Just live here in the USA, as if nothing happened? What happens to the family if they go out of status all of a sudden?
There is no need to make the GC your only goal in life, but please don't be insensitive... there is much more to the issue than meets the eye!
Let me answer that. I am from Fiji but I was born in India so I am stuck with rest of you and for my family going back is not an option. Fiji is very hostile to indians living there so for us it's here or nowhere. May be india is an option but we have very few distant relatives in India as both of our parents has passed away.
Though it is a big shock for me and my family, I have to get over it and think about their survival after me.
My apologies if I have given the impression as GC greedy but I can understand how difficult it is for someone to understand how is life without something you can call a "Home"

I mailed mine on May 25 and up to now I haven't gotten anything yet. My lawyer mailed it to NSC and since my I-140 is pending with the TSC, my lawyer said they will just forward it there. It's taking too long. Anybody in the same boat as I am?

We worry about RP, EAD,AP etc. GC is not the end of the world. Is it worth worrying about the Plastic card.

got receipt notice dated 6th of june for 140 premium processing and got call from employer on 8th of june evening saying the case has been approved. approved in less than 3 days.
What service center was it from? Was it a concurrent filing of I140 and 485?

I have a couple of questions. My employer has an in-house attorney who is responsible for green card processing.
1. If i change employers WITHOUT notifying USCIS, who gets the RFE (if any) in the future? My ex-employer or beneficiary (I got my I-485 receipt directly from USCIS)
2. If i change employers WITHOUT notifying USCIS after 180 days, what happens if my ex-employer tries to CANCEL my I-140?
Can USCIS cancel I-140 without receiving any AC-21 notification from me?

We too got the magic emails saying our 485 has been approved. It was indeed a long journey that started back in 2000. Happy that it all ended well. My priority date is Dec 2005. I did create a service request early August which helped a lot. All the best to the rest of the guys who are waiting for the approval emails.
