Hello,
I have appeared at Delhi embassy for stamping. I got 7 years experience in US. I am working for Company A, through vendor B, client C.
VO: How many employees your company has?.
Me: XXX (Based on H1 data information in I-129).
VO: Do you have client letter with you?.
Me: I showed it.
VO: Do you have a contract between your employer and client?.
Me: I said there is a vendor between, as soon as I told he has given 221G green. I was trying to give letter from Vendor B and contract letters, but VO said I think you have all the documents but take your tme and submit all at the other window.
VO ticked the I-797, I-129 and Clinet letters, itinarary & contracts.
I just submitted all the documents including all the contract letters at the same time. I am just cross-fingered.
Any idea how long it took?. Is this called a AAO or administration processing?.

I am happy to share with you all that I applied my 485 on 1 week of June and it got approved today.
My PD was dec 2005. eb3. India.
Thought i would share with you all.:)
Correct me if i am wrong. In May Visa bulletin the PD date was April 2004 and in June 13 th Visa bulletin it was Current for July filer and after that everybody knows about the fiasco. How come you filed in June when your PD was not current (Your PD in mail is Dec 2005)?

In my case, I have my EB3 labor and I140 approved with PD as May 2004. I have already started a new PERM EB2 from same company in order to port PD. I have not reached to the stage where I can apply I140 (under EB2) to actually start porting PD. With the new rule of "21st May 2007", I am not sure how would my case be treated? Can somebody shed some light on this?

If an error on an I-94 was made by an immigration officer at the airport, upon the alien�s arrival in the United States, she may go to any deferred inspection site or to any port of entry to have the document corrected. These posts are controlled by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The alien does not have to return to the same airport where the error originated.
It is a better policy to try the nearest deferred inspection site first because these are usually more accessible than ports of entry. A list of deferred inspection sites, with hours of operation and telephone numbers, is provided on pages 5 - 8 of this RAPID Answers. A list of ports of entry is available on the website of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at www.cbp.gov. Click on �Ports�. The alien or her representative should always telephone ahead to make arrangements. Some CBP offices at ports of entry may be inaccessible to walk-ins.

I worked for my employer at this vendor. At the time, my employer agreed on paper to give me a specified amount but only after the vendor pays. Vendor has been giving him troubles as regards my pay, so my employer made me wait frustratingly for months to give me pay. Just recently only after much trouble he released part of the amount. But now he learnt that he might have to go to court about the vendor. As a result, now he is denying me MY remaining pay!! I already waited for 4 months now, and can NOT take this strain anymore. My friends advised me to take this issue to Court or DOL. But my employer threatens that I will have no case.
Is that so?? Am I really required to wait like this months/years long if it takes that long for my employer to settle his matter with vendor?? Can an employer actually follow these kind of practice? Please provide your experienced advises.
Also kindly let me know how can I proceed if I want to file a DOL complaint?

There is a hospital in Brooklyn New York where one of my friend was given H1-B and he is doing his residency from there. I will let you know.
Usually there is shortage of medical professional in PA especially OBG, Ortho etc, due to high mal practice insurance, so they all looking for interns and willing to do H1b and GC

I think H1B quota should be decreased because lots of people available with no jobs in the market, it looks like survival of fittest, even person with good skill set not getting job immediately due to new new consulting company coming into market doing irregular things like less rates etc etc�����. to survive themselves.

I drove to Canada for H1-visa stamp renewal a few weeks ago and was surprised that Canada Immigration did not ask for my I-94 at point of entry.
I asked the immigration officer if they should take my I-94 but they declined saying it wasn't necessary and that I'd get an I-94 when coming back into the U.S, which is exactly what happened so perhaps this is perfectly normal.
I am not worrying about it at all.
I think when travel to with North America(Canada & Mexico) you need not submit you current I 94 if you are going to reneter within 30 days of your exit.

Yesterday my employer received notice that my co-workers I-140 was denied and when she went home she received denial notice for her I-485 too. She filed EB2 concurrent.
why your co-workers 140 was denied. Is it sub labour or she is the primary ?.

I'm going to ask my employer/lawyer for the receipt as I have to go out of country in the second week of October. But you never know, these guys don't care about your life.. They might still not give it to you... (Yeah, everyone knows I-485 is OUR application and they do not have a legal right to hold our receipt notices, but we are at their mercy for atleast 180 days)

I know that in these situations patience is virtue, but somehow in last couple of weeks my stress level is going really high. I am heavily suffering from COLTS, and these type of events just freak me out!!
