Just venting out on IV Forum will not get us anywhere.
Our lawmakers are unaware of the issues that affect us and it is really upto us (each one of us) to educate them.
The most important thing that somebody can do for themselves is to take an appointment with your congresswo/man's office and talk to them. It is not that difficult. Just 1 hour of your time.

Vowww... what a wishful thinking.
Definitely nobody would have thought giving Green Cards to Legal Immigrants who are making renting industry thrive can also solve US Housing Slump.
Next time, they may even see a possibility if giving Green Cards can also solve Global Warming!!!!
You know actually it can happen with majority of desis driving green vehicles (honda/toyota).
it is not wishful thinking ..dumbo ..it is a good idea but it doesnt / wont have much support as community is divided and happy with its ead.

Can someone tell me how to check whether Finger Printing is cleared and case has been sent/approved from FBI Name Check
FP status check phone is 304-625-5590. Name check is a different story. Write a letter to your congressman/senator or even Mr. President to inquiry about the name check status.

I guess these companies are also registered in USA and have moral responsibilty to respond. It is a huge mistake to ignore a national level politician's query.
Gotta love this system...
Two years ago; Grassley sent a questionnaire to the top 10 Indian outsourcing companies of how they use non immigrant visas.
They did not have any legal obligation to answer his query. They answered his questions by non answering it.
Grassley then starts to increase the rhetoric and starts pressuring uscis/dol to start investigations.
uscis/dol start investigatin and denying cases and study it and find fraud.
now; Grassley is getting his way and starting to change policy.
Nascom senses game is over and come begging which is exactly what grassley wanted in the first place.
At the end; he will get these guys to agree to tough measures (ie., lca requirements for L-1; tougher measures on h-1b, etc.
See how Microsoft answered differently when they got the query and compare to these guys.
This system created in USA has a way of making you conform to their behaviour willingly or through long and painful way. Looks like they had to learn through long and painful way.

been 90+ days no news on AP. called USCIS for delay and now I get an email about RFE on me and my wifes AP.
any ideas, what type of RFE's being issued for APs?

Hi Folks,
I have already complained to State DOL since last 3 months and still their is no movement...i heard from one of my fellow employee at the precious employer that the guy received notice from DOL immediately but dont know what he did after that....and now he seems that he is closing down his company becoz most of people have left owing to his unethical pratices....he doesnt provides health insurance despite mentioning , says that leaves can be encahes only after a year..
and now cooking a new story for rather than sending the w2 , telling that u should receive notice for 25 k from his lawyer....
in india there is a proverb "ulta chor kotwaal ko daante" which exactly is the scenario ......
lets see how it goes but nothing seem to be working at moment:confused:

It is similar. The key words are "Design, develop, test .....maintain.... etc.." Look up the O*net code for 15-1031.00 - Your L/C will state this occupational code. This has a broad classification.
I am in the same boat - my old job says ""design, develop, test wireless and mobile applications using Pocket PC SDK, MFC, Win32 API ........" and my new job says "Design , develop, test finaicial system applications using VC++, MFC, Win32API ........" I ran this through some lawyers and they say it is fine.

It looks like NC was completed. "Requirement review" means that they are trying to determine whether your marriage is still valid after all these years... Do not take it close to your heart, I found out that the USCIS letters are not very credible.

Can anyone tell what will be the status of a person who has used AC21 , and does not get the EAD renewal before the existing EAD expires ? Assume 140 has been approved, 180 days has been passed and got the EAD renewal receipt.
I am exactly in same situation. Based on my research, you need to stop working on the day your EAD gets expired if your new EAD has not been approved. EAD renewal receipt notice is not going to help. I would stop working if this situation arrives.

The problem really was that IOs are not properly briefed on AC21. There are some cases where they have to ask their supervisors about it. What if the supervisors are also not familiar with AC21?
As others are saying, IOs will soon gain more knowledge on AC21 as many will use it due to the retrogression. Until that time, it is risky.
