I have seen an ALIA observation on EB2 Retro. Trying to figureout how soon these Visa #'s for EB2 catagory is vanished. I will have an analysis from this will post here.

Today my lawyer sent me my receipt numbers for 485, EAD and AP. when I enter my AP receipt number to check online status I see the following...
Application Type: OS155A, IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On August 30, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
Anyone know what this means... It doesn't say I-131 in application type..

My lawyer says the checks have been cashed and we have proof of this.. She says it can be a typo..
Most weird part is for my EAD it says card has been ordered.. but I haven't even done finger prints and my 485 is in suspense..
Anyone any idea whats happening.. should I be worried about OS155A and 485 things..

I have filed my GC from Employer A , now I have completed 1 year since I 485 is filed. I have an offer from empyer B who is ready to transfer my H1B. Now my current H1B is expiring in Nov and I will be completing my six year in nov itself. If I go with employer B I am not sure for how long my H1B will be extended. Please advise suitable process for this.

Dude,
You are already out of status as you are not on L anymore. As of october 01st, your status changed to H-1b and you can only be employed by your H-1b employer.
Talk to a lawyer who knows L stuff (not many do) and straighten things out.

Not sure about what can you do by yourself � in this situation would contact some immigration attorney.
More than likely you need to file Motion to reopen (and gain some time)� otherwise you would end up in a one way street �-however not sure about who will need to file (you or your father)? Also not sure about what would be the basis for filing such a case .
Deportation � Since (I assume) you are in the US legally since 98 even if they start the deportation process probably you can file for some relief (I guess if you are here for 7 or 10 years -legally! -then in a case like that there could be some way to avoid deportation, but this would not be automatic).
I would consult with a immigration lawyer....

I came to US in 2009 March (on H4 Visa) ,
I filed my H1B in September 2009 with Company A and got approved October 2009. I search for projects 2 months; my employer was unable to place me. So he said he will revoke the H1B petition. After that due to family emergency I gone back to India and while re-entering I entered as H4. (As per I-94 Copy). That H1B never got used and I never got any pay stub from Company A.
Now I am on H4 till date.
I have found the project and the new employer (who is client say Company B) is ready to file my H1B application. Now as per the Company B�s Legal Team, they can�t get the approval before 1st October 2011 (or start date of H1B visa) and they have to fill this position by this month End. (Which is May or Mid June)
Now I have inquired some other place and gone through different forums to get answer.
Here is the query,

I don't think there should be a problem with your start date. But, check with your attorney to make sure. Is your H1 and L1 from the same company? If not, you can say that you had to stay back to finish up pending projects before taking on the new job.
do you know if your friend was asked why he has joined late on H1 ? and what did he reply ?

Could anyone please suggest me a few consulting companies who can sponsor H1B visa? I am trying to bring my friend who is in India working for an automotive OEM. He was in Michigan for a while and he went back to India and it�s been almost more than 7 years since he left but now he wants to come back to Michigan.
If anyone knows any consultants in Michigan would be perfect since I already have a job lined up (verbally) through my contacts but I am not successful finding an employer who can sponsor H1B for him.

The full story is : The client company, I am working with is processing my GC for future employment. 485 was applied and I received EAD. It has come up that the current employer has an agreement with the client that , the client should not employ any of their employees for 1 yr after the termination. So, I need to quit the current employment, work else where for a year and then join the GC sponsering company.The I140 will not be revoked.
Since I am not currently working for GC sponsring company, does any of the AC21 issues matter ?

yes you can take up employment with C. If you get an RFE at any point within the next 180 days make sure B can give you an employment offer letter. post 180 days you can invoke AC-21 if you want and use C as your GC-Sponsoring employer.
