I just realised that there is the wrong expiration date on my i-94 when I came back from a visit to India in Feb 2006.
The officer did not put the date according to the 797 which expires in 2007 .He put the expiration date as per the visa stamp.
My visa in my passport has also expired in April 2006.
My company is filing for 1485 and the lawyer just noticed it .
What are my options ?

The Beneficiary of the LC is required to sign the original, certified LC. There are no other documents that the Beneficiary will need to sign associated with the filing of the I-140. All other forms/letters are signed by the company.

Yes, I noticed that and thought the same. I am submitting my application today. I have been trying it for the last 7 years with no luck. Who knows, this one could be the one when I hit the jackpot ! :cool:

I read in interesting piece by Bjorn Rorslett on this very subject of stacked polarizers.
Bjorn says it is possible to achieve a sort of false color IR by stacking a Circular and Linear polarizing filters.
As an ND this is really not effective because it is anything but neutral IMO.

It is very clear. Child can charge to either parents chargeability. Parents cannot charge to child's country of birth.
Lawyers are not always correct. Check the law by ourselves. Only government can change the law. Not by any lawyers.
it seems clear - a child can claim either parents country chargeability. A spouse can claim a favorable country chargeability. I dont think it says that a parent can claim chargeability of childs birth country.

How did you calculate that he has to leave the country for four months? I think it should for a year,correct me if I am wrong.Or is your calculation based on based on the assumption that the labor will be approved within 4 months and then he can file for H1 extension? I am in the same boat,could you please clarify?

My L1 ends sometime in mid September.
My H1 would be effective only from Oct 1.
So, during this time I will be out of status right ?
So if I do my L1 Extension, I might solve the problem.
But Will doing that affect the approved H1 ?

It does seem that you will be out of status in the interim period. Can you go to your country on a vacation, come back on H1 and start your new job afresh?. If you can then I suggest you do that, if not I suggest you consult an attorney.

It depends. Today, it does not matter whether you are EB2 or EB3 as both will remain retrogressed for long time unless Congress does something. You should look for right work and good employer. If your employer does not allow you to talk to Attorney directly then there is some ulterior motive. Since you have sometime to decide, analyze your career goals before deciding on EB2 or EB3. You should eligible for Eb2 by default because of your education unless your current job does not need one..

You are correct. I dont have any gap between opt and h1-B. I mean there is no out of status issue.
But generally if you are applied for h1-b to transfer from F1 status you will get new I-94(I797A) with H1-B approval. Most of my frends got the new I-94.
I do have my old I-94( I got it when i came to usa to pursue masters,There is no expiration date in it)
Which consulate is better for this case........to get solved.
According to my old consultancy i will get 5 paystubs from old consultancy and 2 paystubs from new (H1-B)consultancy is it enough to go to consulate?

Yesterday my employer received notice that my co-workers I-140 was denied and when she went home she received denial notice for her I-485 too. She filed EB2 concurrent.
why your co-workers 140 was denied. Is it sub labour or she is the primary ?.
