I don't think Americans are that short sighted or narrow minded to want to steal your social security money. I know, i read a lot of press releases on how their social security is in a mess. They will fix it. I have no doubt about it.
Who thought India would be in such a limelight and then go on to be economic power before year 2000?
In a short span of 6-7 years the whole world changed. Coming to social security, by the time you will be in need of Social security, it will be decades and that is lot of time for a change. Who knows, we may be even taking a flight to Mars or worse 'nuked'.

Application Type: I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT
Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.
On November 21, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.

PA DMV requires atleast one document which has a later expiry to issue license, Take a letter from her employer stating she will be working in PA until a later date (Say 12/31/2011 eg). Show it to them and they will issue license.

There is no question of waiting and watching here - please be assured that IV is doing everything possible to address this issue. This bill is not very straight forward due to the fact that it is entangled in too many complexities which we are not even a part of. So we have to tread very carefully here. IV is getting professional advice in this regard and it would make sense to follow that advice and not jump the gun.

I am working for company A and I have offer from Company B, I thinking of my options, Here is my situation
1. I have approved I140 > 180 days in actually 300 days
2. I have approved EAD
3. mine is labor transfer case and I used an existing labor that matched my job profile
4. Company B is ready to hire me in the same/similar role and are ready to give AC21 employment letter with same details as in my labor.
5. I have approved copy of my labor that was transferred and all other copies related to my case like I140, I485 application and Advance parole etc,....
Please give me some guidance on if I should be accepting the offer from Company B, I am concerned because my labor was transferred from another employee. I have worked for company A for nearly 4 years now and my GC is in process for almost 4 years, labor switch was done like 2 years ago.
Based on this explanation do you see any risk and am I missing anything here, in terms of getting specific documentation from company A application..

In India 3 year grad are arts, humanities, science, management and accounting.
while 4+ year degrees are for technology, engineering, agriculture, medicine.
UK (some parts of europe as well) and Australia seems to have similar system in some of its university.

I-140 receipt will not have A#. Only approval notice will have it. In the beneficiary column along with name of the person.

I am not 100% sure but when you are on H1B should'nt you be working from where your LCA was approved for? In OP's case, its remote work but outside USA, in that case I am not sure
1. if the LCA filed will any longer be valid and that might cause issues with labor dept
2. what happens when USCIS finds out that you left the country and physically not present in USA and still running payroll in USA plus also the LCA is no longer valid, this might be an issue when your renewal comes up.
3.how your payroll can be run when you are not in the country?what are the tax implications? you need to have a physical address in US to file taxes, is'nt it? without an address in the specified location and specific state, you will be considered as non-resident.
when you file taxes as non-resident but a resident of a different country, then you will have to understand the tax treaties between the USA and the resident country and file taxes accordingly.
You might want to talk to an immigration attorney as well as someone who specializes in taxes(not just CPA, but an attorney who understands tax laws). I dont think this can be as simple as others mentioned. this is just my opinion and I could be wrong. talk to legal experts.

Even in USA, LCA should be filed in every state that you are going to work(no exception), most of the H1 extensions get rejected because of LCA not filed at the client location. I am sure one will have check the tax laws even when you are working out of state(forget about out of country) and if you don't follow the tax laws you will be in a soup when IRS finds it out. Remember to take "Tax Breaks" when you claim expenses. You have to take a 21 business days break within the first year and 6 months break before the 2 years end and the cycle will be reset for Tax breaks. You have to be legally present in the USA to get your H1B extended. Attorneys are the best people to advise on the legal implications.
