trueguy has a poll started for period from 2001 to 2004 and I have started this for 2005-2008.

Did you see approved on Jun 25th? In my case, I saw approved on Jun 28th and then pending on Jun 29th. My attorney received approval notice on Jun 28th. I dont know how to make sense of it.
What was the message in your case on Jun 26th? I am seeing that they received my application on Jun 29th and it is pending. It sounds strange.
Online case status shows approval on jUne 27th. But then does it really matter with all this talk of July retrogression?

I was told if you have valid stamping you do not need get new stamping even if you changed the employer. All you need is to give the new approval notice at the POE.

That is true, and I know a lot of people who did that including my wife in 2006.

The program will be telecast between 5PM and 6PM Pacific standard time and the interview is about 5-6 minutes long.

I agree that the DC rally is a critical event but I think I am loosing interest in this online forum. I guess the forum moderators may be busy with organizing the DC event. It's time for a clean up act. I am urging members to stop posting so many unnecessary and irrelevant threads. We all understand the importance of this rally. Peace!

But only lucky applicants get green card :). Its not based on eligibility alone.
Now about protests and demonstrations. I dont think it will work in the US for a myriad of reasons.
I think every year about 30K or more people are coming from India
on H1B. I think half of them apply for GC. At least 200K Indian nationals
alone waiting in the line for GC. Why IV has only 5k? We should have atlease 50K members.
A working plan would be get atleast 100K people to our organization and have everybody contribute $100. That would give us $10Million. We can hire top people and companies to get it done. And donate big funds to these politician.
What I told is just a dream. Most of us here are free riders. In my company there are 5 people who are affected. I'm the only who checks regulary this site. I have to tell them again and again and again to send a fax or donate.
So what to do?

I agree and I am also fully aware of the numbers, but just don't limit it to we Indians, every immigrant irrespective of origin is impacted. I hate to call it a donation, I rather say everybody contribute as much as possible. $100 is nothing compared to immigration fee and extortion by attorneys and consulting companies.
Somebody has to come forward and show leadership. Just sitting and waiting for every month Visa Bulletin is not going to take us anyware.

Use the one with the 08 expiry date. This is what I did and prefilled it before I gave it the doc. Point out the OMB expiry date to him incase he is making trouble!

Just received in mail - 2 Year EAD card for me and my wife. Valid till July 2010. I have e-filed myself for both of us. Still waiting for AP docs.
hi saint, nothing against you, i wonder what is the freakin logic USCIS uses to decide on 2 year EAD approval, here i am with pd not being current for atleast next 2-3 years (given the halt of eb3-I), 2nd ead extn, in my 8th year of h1b, i got a one year EAD extn, where as a eb2 person gets a 1 year validity...i only wish we can know whats going in the minds of these decision makers..

That's the point.
I was denied ever $1 stimulus payment for 1 joint filer (spouse) being ITIN holder and from the way things are going it would not happen by 2008 either. If not $1500 why they denied even $1500- $600(for the ITIN filer) = $900 ? Why shouldn't i get at least $900 ....??
I wrote to her around 9:30 EST - dont know if she is done by now. I have given my cell phone number as well in the email. I can write and talk as much as possible against this 'ridiculuous' and 'unfair' mandate/rule :mad:

A lot of lawyers do not charge money for every question you ask if you are their client. You can easily email them and ask questions or post on their intranet. It is part of their service that helps them get more business.
If your employer is their client, then of course the lawyer may not respond to you. Why should he?
My PD is August 2009 , and i seem to loose patience.....I can imagine how those people who have been in this queue from 4-5 years must be feeling........Lets hope for the best :)

My case:
Worked with Co. A from 2000 - 2005
Labor filed in EB3. Priority date May/2003
Worked with Co. B from 2005 - 2008
Co. A Labor approved in Feb 2008
I-140 filed and approved in Mar 2008
I-485 Filed in June 2008 as future employee
Working with Co. C from Nov 2008 on EAD.
Now Co. A filed for chapter 11 and closed their shop.
Atty. from Co. C said to file AC21.
What are my options ? Should I file AC21 immediately or wait till my case comes up for processing ?
Anyone in similar situation or have an idea next steps.

Thank your for ur reply....What about I-129 petition & withdrawal letter...Is there anything that protects me which states that i have a right to get a copy of documents - petition, letter, etc,...from employer. Can somebody point me in the right direction to so that i have a case in point.!

I got stuck in FBI name check for over 2+ years (24+ months)... run out of
patience or anything :mad: . I now decide to sue them by filing writ of mandamus in court. I'd like to have an experienced attorney do it for me. I'm looking for an attorney who is responsible and responsive, has been successful in filing writ of mandamus for clients to get the name check moving. If you know/use any attorney like this, would you please let me know by emailing me or sending email to prof_risk at hotmail dot com, thanks a lot!

On bench with GC... Thats like you are out of job isn't it? On H1 if this happens its also illegal. I assume bench means no pay or LOWER than normal pay for the job.

I am worried about checks not being cashed yet. After Aug 17th the window is closed.

Technically, your H-1B status terminates once you are no longer working for and being paid by your H-1 employer. Being on a LOA does not protect you from this unless the LOA is for reasons that are both personal and out of your control, such as serious illness.
A new employer can file an H-1 petition for you even if your current H-1 has not been cancelled. You will be required to submit recent pay stubs with that application.
You mention AC-21 and having an EAD, but your profile does not indicate that you have a pending I-485. Can you clarify?
