Every time... The biggest problem I've ever had with the iPhone is the face that it has a hard time with, well, time.
Without fail, my Calendar app is bonked, and when I have work until 11, the green colored event actually goes down to midnight. Tapping on it to bring up the info, it does still say 11.
Calendar glitch happens every single time, back or forward. No issues actually getting to the correct time, though.

forgive me, i am too lazy to read all the replies.
general anesthesia is pretty damn cool. it can make people sick but not always. it's never made me even so much as nauseous.. but even if it did, that can be prevented. (more on that later).
every time i've had it they just gave me an IV and told me to "count back from 10" ... the first time, thinking they would say something closer to 100, i said "TEN?!?!" and i was out like a light, that fast! i woke up and felt like no time had passed at all. fascinating. i was completely tossed and had no concept of reality, but basically ok.
second time about the same, i made it to number 8 (i love IV drugs :D)
there is no chance in hell you are going to be able to care for yourself afterwards, so please plan on a ride (don't take a taxi no matter how tempted you are) and for someone to be there for you for at least a few hours.
addtional tip:
ASK FOR ZOFRAN - this is the anti-nausea med of champions, (basically side-effect free) they will put it in your IV and it's a totally reasonable request. i swear by this medication, i have an orally disintegrating form that i use when i am sick with migraines. (long story why i have to treat myself so strangely)
but do ask for it, Zofran is a very superior antiemetic to some of the crap out there and won't make you feel strange.
have your painkillers in order (or some on hand) so that you are not dealing with pharmacies after surgery.
rest rest rest.

Hello,
I do some download in my app where some of the data are images. In my app I save this data and create uiimages object where needed. Everything works fine so far. My problem is:
I have a custom tableViewCell class and in this class I have a UIImageView defined. No matter which size I set to this Uiimageview, the image put into it gets the height of the tablecell. I have tried to change the viewMode for the cell uiimageview content but without any luck so far. What can I do to actually get the images to be displayed with the size of the uiimageview it is added into...?
The images is created like this:
NSFileManager *fileManager = [[NSFileManager alloc]init];

Things are about to change...
In order to let version 1.0 of this widget really blow your socks of, some changes had to be made on the ExtremeOverclocking side.
The guys are great in adding some extra info i requested. Small bummer: the current version of the widget doesn't work anymore (it has no idea the xml file changed - no AI yet, sry). I'll try to do a quick fix by the end of the week (should be faster, just not in the mood right now :cool: ). 1.0 should be out before the end of the month (september that is ;)).

It's pretty clear that Apple will not be releasing to laptops before the holiday season. Laptops just aren't the typical gift. They are in the wrong price range.

In Massachusetts we already pay an excise tax on vehicles, boat and other toys.
Introducing a tax on road usage, not to remind you that we already pay taxes for this, would impact the ones that depend on such an infrastructure to support the economy.
The majority of the revenues that would feed the government waste would ultimately be passed on to everyone. Whether it be food, consumer goods, clothing and so on, it all requires some sort of usage of the infrastructure we are already paying for.
How about no new taxes and better manage the money we already feed into the garbage disposal.

Hey Gary... don't worry.
Had it myself for the first time just over 6 weeks ago for major surgery.
It's not like sleep at all: no dreaming, no tossing & turning etc.
In my case, the anaesthetist was in a small room off from the main theater. I was wheeled in on my bed. Some lines were inserted into my left hand and forearm, he disappeared behind me to check something... we chatted for a few seconds and then... I woke up in a large sunny room.
It will seem like a handful of seconds will have passed since the anaesthetist induced full anaesthesia and waking up in the recovery room. Depending on the surgery they will have already put you on post-op pain relief and you may just feel fine and dandy like I did. Upon awakening, they will probably ask you a few simple questions to ascertain your mental state.
Afterwards, you may be thirsty -- don't gulp water, though. It can leave you feeling nauseous. If you can manage it, it's also quite nice to have something a little starchy yet easy to digest like half a banana or a cookie, if doctors allow you to take food.
Afterwards, I was on a morphine drip for 5 days and oral painkillers for the entire time in hospital -- I'm still on them now but a much-reduced dose...
It's important to mobilise yourself as soon as the nurses let you. Take little gentle walks around the place -- gets the circulation, respiration and digestive system up and running.

I love how innocent they make the kids out to be. Utterly ridiculous. I would have robbed my parents blind with this. "I thought it was smurf coins, mommy - not real money." ********, I would abuse the system. My sister racked up a $350 phone bill the first month she had a phone - in sixth grade. She knew she only had 100 txts back then, that didn't stop her from Txting. Point is, kids are going to download **** when they can, regardless of how many notifications say "warning! Daddy's credit card will be charged." Uh, oh, I better not buy the mightyeagle now!

Its about elegance and love. We dont just use our Macs they become friends and part of the family. We dont just look at them as computers but extensions of ourselves. No system is perfect but for us this is as close as we can get to perfection. So many of the things you said you can do on your Windows machine I dont doubt I just know we can do it easier and usually were able to do it well before you could. You mistake pride for bigotry. Yes I will admit that you can play more games than I can but thats what the PS2. gamecube and X box are for. About price, I agree the sticker shock is that the Mac is more expensive but when you look at what you get with it. especially in the video editing realm you start to realize that the windows side doesnt have anything anything to compare with it. Not without having to pay at least a few hundred dollars for. Sure you built your own machine but wheres the tech support or the warranty. Any of those parts go bad and you'll be replacing them yourself. Theres more cost built in to building than many people choose to admit. Fact is we all live in a world that runs on Windows machines. Office's are full of beige boxes that sometimes manage to get through a day of email and excel. What you may not think about is that while the penny pushers may move the money from place to place on a windows machine the marketing side usually gets the products sold on a Mac. Advertising firms and creative agencies that market the worlds products do it on a much more stable environment. So dont think of it as bigotry but instead a sense of pride that... well I saw a T-shirt on a guy in the Apple store on Friday night that said it best. "Its a Mac thing, you wouldnt understand"

That will make it the ultimate presentation tool with a huge halo effect on corporate, education and domestic markets:
1. Make presentation on Mac or PC with Keynote or Powerpoint.
2. Save the presentation to the iPhone.
3. Use the iPhone as a wireless computerless presentation remote.
