I hate to say it but this is starting to sound very much like an Alcoholics anonymous support group session. LOL.
Let me jump right in!
Get a grip guys. Life is not so bad. What you guys are worrying about is relatively trivial. The odds are heavily stacked in your favor for you to get the green card eventually, most likely within 2 yrs. I can't fathom another 2 plus years with no legislative relief. In the mean time as long as you stick to AC21 rules, you should have the courage to move jobs. Heck, with EAD, you could even move into something part time and try it out before finally deciding to commit etc. My point is you have tremendous flexibility, enjoy that.
In the small chance things do not work out, then you have presumably had an opportunity to save enough to purchase a decent home in India(or wherever your home country may be), a car and your line of work(I'm referring to the predominantly IT folks here) is in such international demand that you will be able to earn a livable wage anywhere, including India.
And here is the real shocker to many of you. There are millions of Americans(probably well over half) who will trade their position in life with you in a heart beat given the privilege, family and social support system, education, world view and demand you are in. Sometimes it is hard to see how blessed you actually are in this world. That is why I have taken a very grim view of people who have compared their issue to slavery etc. That only speaks to their unawareness of that practice.
Now I know none of this is going to get you your green card tomorrow and improve your mistreatment in this needlessly ridiculous and tortuous green card journey. However I am hoping it atleast gives you some perspective.

...It goes without saying that as much as the United States has a duty to protect its citizens it also has a duty to be equally diplomatic toward foreigners and not continue persecuting the one or the other long after any condemning sentence has been exacted and executed.
I have nothing to be sorry for. I�m still paying my dues along with my family and we�re all grateful for the opportunity to redeem ourselves. It�s time we are recognized. I�m struggling with the principal of the matter. I�m not as bad as immigration is trying to make me out to be.
The government is telling my family I am not an adequate person to form a family with in the U.S. because I was deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana, yet it is granting the 212(d)(3) Waiver for Non-Immigrant Visas to Aliens deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana and who wish to travel to the U.S.. United States Citizens need an Immigrant Visas Waiver available to their Alien Immediate Relatives deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of Marijuana in order to even the scales on both U.S. citizen and Alien immigration privileges concerning Deported Aliens with a Drug-Related Offence of More than 30 Grams of Marijuana.
The way things are now U.S. citizens without a criminal conviction and with Alien Immediate Relatives are being discriminated against by their own government. The needs of deported Aliens with criminal convictions are being placed before their own.
It�s pure hypocrisy and it�s my family�s and my name being placed on the line.
I mean, really, how great can the U.S. be if it�s willing to lose their citizens to aliens like me when they decide to move outside of the United States to join their Immediate and shunned Alien Relatives? The U.S. government�s violation of my family�s civil human rights to liberty, freedom of expression and equality before the law is unwarranted. My U.S. family�s civil liberties to equal protection under the law, to due process and privacy are being discriminated against, they are not receiving fair treatment.

Person, if in USA, has 30 days to start working for H1 employer after CoS approval date. One more thing, one can start working after applying for SSN without waiting for getting actual SSN.

Ask her to do all the immunizations and get a immunization record. Take an appointment here on Aug 15th. Go to the doctor, pay him more and tell me you need ASAP and get the report the same day.

There is no freedom and especially education in India. in US even if you are a 60 year old you can join a university but in India things are different
What do you mean? My father was an engineer and he started his Bachelor of law at age 58 in 1996 in India, after retirement. regular college, which only 10% pass out off.
Again never compare Canada with India, India is Unique and I am not putting my Motherland on Trash, You are in a way doing that, by comparing it with Canada and USA.
I'm only comparing the economy and education not the culture.

No. I am not anti-immigrant. I am anti-illegal immigrant. I know the AZ law very well coz I read it not like many who seem to listen to talk radio. Good opinions can be formed only with good knowledge and we don't need evryone to have an opinion. Most should only subscribe to an opinion otherwise there will only be infighting and no progress.
President Obama just lost a good chance to gain democratic majority in Nov. Now people are saying....why is the fed govt. not letting a state protect its citizens?

US considers 16years of full time or equivalent of full time education as Bachelors degress(12yrs school + 4 yrs college/universit degree). Even Indian Bachelors of 3 yrs(12yrs school + 3 yrs coll/Univ) is not considered to be equivalent of US Bachelors.
From what my attorney told me,
1)16yrs of education(US Bachelors)/Indian 3 yr bachelors & 2/3years of Masters + 5 years experience qualifies for EB2 category.
2)15yrs of education(India Bachelors) + 5 or more years of education qualifies for EB3 cateogry.
3)Not sure of Diploma
You have said you have 3 yrs diploma + 1 yr bachelors, I assume your total years of education is 14 yrs(10 yrs school + 3 years diploma + 1 yr bachelors/coll/Univ). This not even equivalent of Indian bachelors, you can substitute your job experience towards educational years. But I do not know whether that can be done for Diploma.
What I have said is my opinion, personal view, please do not construe this as legal opinion. I suggest you consult a good education evaluation companies like Trustforte, Mulinational Education & Information Services to find whether your case will qualify for EB3.

If we want to stay in this country, we need a president who can take this country progressively to the future instead of "lets take the country back" "this is not the country I grew up in" rhetoric! If this country goes backwards in time while the rest of the world embraces progress - guess what? - No use having a GC here.

I haven�t got a chance to see the actual RFE notice yet, but as per my lawyer it�s for the TB test. The doctor skipped the TB skin test and we both did the X-ray which came back negative.
Does anyone went to a different doctor that the one who initially took the test. I relocated since I took the test, and would like to avoid the 4hr drive.
Has anyone seen a different doctor after getting an RFE. Or should I have got to the same doctor.

I have my TX license till 06-2013. With the new rules, I heard that DMV's in Dallas are issuing vertical cards which has an expiration date of EAD/H1b expiry date. I recently moved to a new apartment. When i try to change the address online it is asking me to go the nearest DMV. I dont want to loose my current license which has expiry till 2013. Is it OK if i dont change my new address on my drivers license or is there a way to get my new card with the old expiration date. my current EAD expires on 10/2009.

I would think coming from MI, a state that has one of the highest unemployment, and the relief that the auto industry got - it continues to exist because of those liberal fiscal policies.
Besides, his being liberal fiscally/socially has nothing to do with our issues. He is probably the best ally for our issue in the democratic circle...
Cannot agree more, I find it idiotic we blaming someone because they are liberal in something. Most of us come from a country where 90% of the time "corrupt" is the only way we can define politicians. Listening to talking heads on TV shows and parroting the same crap sounds stupid. The environment right now is not conductive to any kind of immigration bill unless done in very absolute secret. This is a lame duck session,no one knows what will happen after 2 years.
Someone was talking about distinguishing between illegal and legal, yes but once they start digging in deeper we have the dreaded "H1B". Hopefully the economy continues to improve ,due to so-called liberal policies, and we have better job market and public sentiment improves. Don't know if IV has any strategic plan for this time frame.
BTW, Someone blaming a president for being liberal socially when they are the smallest minority in the country is absolutely stupidly mind boggling!!!
