It does not make sense to me how folks who are on L1 visa and manage some people can go at par with the people of Extraordinary ability .
I can understand if they holding a position where they make some policies/ generate bussiness that gonna have major impact on Employees or organizational direction ...
But I have seen some people who not at par qualified has applied for GC on EB1 category just because they are on L1 Visa it is getting expired....
But i feel that there is a big glitch in the definition of this category which many of the DESI Companies are abusing ....:(
you do not need to be on L1A to apply for EB-1 managerial as long as you meet the requirements of being a manager as per USCIS definition. also eb-1 managerial is not a self-file - it needs to be filed by employer.

I don't agree with what mbawa2574 has to say,but I certainly disagree banning mbawa for expressing views. I think, mbawa2574 is well within limits of posting anything that could hurt IV image/goals. ( On this thread, I mean).
What's the damage caused to your effort?( apart from deleting threads )
I'd rather help channel his thoughts and energies in a direction that helps IV than ban him.

I'm sure you understand by now that IV is made of just you, me and bunch of other anonymous keyboard monkeys.

I think we reserve the right to make sure what appears on the home page of the website. Is there anything wrong with that?
Have you tried asking Numbersusa, Programmers Guild and your employer about changing leadership? What makes this organization any different? Just because anyone can post anything on IV website to get visibility on the homepage, its not ok to abuse the resources of the organization. We did not create IV to promote democracy or freedom of expression, there are ample of other sites to promote democracy and freedom of expression, you are free to use those resource at your liking. IV website is for a single purpose of achieving the goals we have set for the organization. You can find our goals on the website. And anything that conflicts with our goal will be removed. Its easy to use terms like democracy, freedom of expression etc to defend actions that malign the good effort put in by others. To make things clear, IV's objective is not to promote or preserve democracy/freedom of expression. We have a goal to achieve and we will not deter from our goal, whatever it takes.

I am glad it worked out for you.
Just wanted to update everyone - I did respond to the I-140 RFE with detailed information for the delay in getting the degree - and my 140 was approved without any further questions. I hope that no one else gets into this situation - but if anyone needs help - I will be more than willing to help in what ever way I can.
Now......on to the GC :-)

quick update: I received the receipt notices today for EAD Renewal by mail. can't believe it, but truly received for myself and my wife.
Big question is
1.Mine is having case number as LIN08801XXXXX which is fine, because my entire GC process since past 5 years is in Nebraska Service Center. I'm the primary applicant
2.But wife's case number is different, which is NSC08801XXXXX and clearly mentioned in the notice that her case is with national benefits center, Lee's summit MO.( By the way we live in Missouri)
The entries for "Class requested" is shown as C09 in both cases, which i believe correct.
Help:

If not, any clues about next steps like do i need to call somebody or call Nebraska ??? a bit worried. any help ???????

My priority date is EB2 Dec 2003 and I can file my 485 in June.However my spouse who is on vacation will be returning back to US on Mid July.
Considering the huge load of application that will be filed by the beginning of July , is it wise to:
1) File my 485 application in June (I have all my documentation ready including medical) and add my spouse application later or
2)Wait for for spouse to return and file together on the 3rd week of July.
Does the time gap of a couple of weeks make a huge difference in the processing of my application.

One of my friends had his 485 pending. He took leave of absence from company and went on to pursue full time MBA for 2 years.
In the middle of MBA, company had to remove him from payroll due to re-org.
Green card came in a few months.
He is now doing a hot shot MBA job using GC.
Will he face issues during N-400?

I had asked this question to the immigration lawyer at IV. She said that if you are working for the same company at their offices aboard & go for Consular Processing ( it is the only option as you can not go 485 route) it should be just fine. However, if the company that you are working for when you are abroad and the company that did your GC are not the same thenit is almost impossible to prove that the job exists when you arrive in USA after CP.

I have not even used my EAD. I expect it to be related to Birth certificate as i didn't have original and submitted affidavit etc. But not sure may be something else too.
My lawyer had applied for EB2 in I-140 but approval came for EB3. then they reapplied and next approval came for EB2. May be that.
Just guessing as that's the only thing i can do now.
One intresting thing i think my case might have got picked is we applied for my husband's EAD and after that have seen soft LUDs on our cases. may be just coincidence.

You have to use I-824 if you change the consulate, if it is a consular case. If your I-94 is extended within america, there is no need. However because of PIMS, it is better to initiate a I-824 and get confirmation before proceeding for stamping. It is better to check your lawyer to get the right legal advise.

We are also in the same boat. My wife and me finished FP on 10/2. Its already been 9days. No LUD on my case or my wife's case.

Without access to donor forum , you have no clue *if* there has been any updates posted. You are assuming that there has been *some* updates posted and there possibly could be or there possibly is none. Whatever be the case, if there something for which ground level volunteers will be required, it will definitely get posted on open forums. If it is a strategic thinking/planning, I doubt still if it will be posted on the donor forum as such things need to be kept to a close group of people until you are ready for implementation. Disclosing this earlier will not work in favor of such strategic planning.
And of course, if there is a new bill passed or others, it will be everywhere in media - you may just know it when it gets passed rather than a couple of hours/days/weeks early.
If you believe in the cause of IV and I'm assuming that you do since you are here - I'd say go ahead and support it in all possible ways and dont worry too much about donor forums. Give or take 3 months plus a month , it will lose its charm.
