Looks like it took it a bit to propagate across USCIS servers. Or else, they put it up and took it down, then put up again.
With the EAD at Nebraska officially being at 112 days (zero movement since June 18 processing times release), it is no surprise they don't respond to expedited/interim EAD requests anymore when it goes over 90 days. Will we have to file mandamus suits on EAD soon?

to channel all your frustrations and anxiety toward a noble cause. Life is hard. GC is just a milestone, just the way you experienced your first process (H1,J1,F1) to get to the US.
I think worrying a lot about the GC has increased my blood pressure (and I need to relax). :) It is just like the COLTS disease - men are made to worry about the future. ;) IV allows to share your pain with others and also work together for a cause.
Remember life can be worse than what it is for you now (http://anilgeneral.blogspot.com/2008/07/when-going-gets-tough.html) Chill, it is a friday.

You have 2 H1s, can you do that. Are you working full time on both H1b visas. Please eloborate on that.

Two H-1B's are possible if you can do two jobs. Most of the ppl file a concurrent H-1B for a part time job so you have one H-1B for full time job and the other for a part time job. The US CIS will approve a concurent H-1B for part time job for as little as 15 hours a week. Now if you want to file the second H-1B too for a full time job and have the physical ability to work for 80 hours a weeks then US CIS won't have any problems with that.

My wife is using EAD . I am still on H1 and have not started using EAD. Can I still switch to a new employer with a H1 transfer ?. Or since, she is in EAD, should I do an AC21 only with EAD ?. Thanks..

Nice story :) I had a clause in my first contract that I had to work for a company at least for 6 months or I will have to reimburse all H1B-related expenses. Well, I left the company and when the company's president called me, just told him to get lost. Never heard from him again. Looking back, I should've sued the company because it did not pay me full salary for the first month while I was on the "bench" (searching for a contract). Well, I am just too lazy :)

About 2 weeks back Murthy posted an article in it's bulletin "new AC-21 regulations expected soon" http://www.murthy.com/mb_pdf/050208_P.html which i believe was a result of some discussions USCIS had with AILA?
Now is this new AC-21 memo released today the one being referred to in the above mentioned Murthy bulletin? OR i should still hold my breath for more AC-21 changes coming from USCIS, so they can jeopardize status of people by changing their interpretation of laws every now and then? Anyone?

Reading the bulletin thread and prediction thread is good enough to prepare for GMAT problem solving area. I love these analysis and conclusions.
I think that the DOS (Dept of State) releases VISA Numbers on a quarterly basis. If that is the case, there should be movement in EB2 India in Jan 2007.
The other possibility always exists that the numbers were released for this quarter but the demand was SO HIGH that the net date did not move at all.

Hi Folks,
I have already complained to State DOL since last 3 months and still their is no movement...i heard from one of my fellow employee at the precious employer that the guy received notice from DOL immediately but dont know what he did after that....and now he seems that he is closing down his company becoz most of people have left owing to his unethical pratices....he doesnt provides health insurance despite mentioning , says that leaves can be encahes only after a year..
and now cooking a new story for rather than sending the w2 , telling that u should receive notice for 25 k from his lawyer....
in india there is a proverb "ulta chor kotwaal ko daante" which exactly is the scenario ......
lets see how it goes but nothing seem to be working at moment:confused:

Service industry is not always based on labor cost differentials. Many services are value added services. High investments in R&D in general is good for economy but not necessarily true for a company. For example, German manufacturers are best R&D shops; however, their over investment in precision is precisely their problem. On the other hand Apple copied mp3 music players from Creative and made millions. One can find countless examples of skilled marketing (services) not innovative products making money. So don't assume that R&D investments are always good for a company.
Finally, Wipro & the likes -- they have already opened up shops in China, Mexico, Brazil (yes)... and finally if dollar falls further they could actually buy the US companies and make them efficient (Honda and GM example).
