Bulls eye. this is what I am thinking.

May not be 100%, I have been advised that one can switch back to h1b if there is a gap and one is on pending 485 - but may have to do stamping prior to start using the H1b - gurus can correct me here.

Any one has info on working and living in Australia.
I see in 12 months i can get Immigrant Visa... Cost is $1960 ..
Canada may be cold ..Australia has beautiful weather ..
But the cost to buy Australia would be slightly more expensive than for a small out of the way nation in Africa. (Anyway I am ROW from somewhere in Africa so it would be better to just go home)

I am trying to efile AP and there is a question regarding date of intended departure and expected length of the trip. I don't have any plans to use AP and is applying for emergency travel. Please let me know what to fill if any one is in the same situation who have e-filed.

I recently applied for my renewal (AP & EAD) - got my AP approved in less than 3 weeks (which is good processing time).
Validity was for one year, only and from the date the previous AP expired.
EAD - Still waiting - it's 47th day, today and counting. Hopefully before I hit the 60 day mark...that seems to be the processing time, these days.

Check ICICI. I think it is called a NRE account. You can fund it in Dollars and Rupees and it could be repatriated in Dollars. So just open the account and have them deposit the monies India, you can draw it here. This kind of account is for NRI's who earn an income in India and want to access it here.
There is a limit I think but it must be like $25K..

I am not sure if it is as difficult as is everyone's impression in this thread.

Hi,
I have my I-140 (approved in May 07) approved from my previous employer. I am not sure whether he has revoked it or not. I am now working as full time employee with another company. How can i find out if my I-140 was revoked or not? I am yet to file a New PERM, i already got a PERM denial after joining this new employer :( looks like i have to file one more... This looks like a infinte loop :(

No, we are not going to abuse this and we won't be sending stuff over and over. But stoppers have a very Specific significance: to educate and differentiate between legal and illegal. I think it is individual decision to go back to home country or not. But taking a global look - We Indian make more money here. Average salary of Indian is $65,000+. We can save more. We get more comfortable life style. Only problem is GC, H1-B.

I feel for all of you whose EAD is not yet receive. When my EAD was pending for more than 90 days, I wrote an email to the Ombudsman. I don't know if it helped or not. I just got RFE notice 4 days after sending the email. After replying to the RFE (photos), I got my EAD with no problems.

Yes, I agree. Everyone needs to register for the lobby day and show our strength in numbers and solidarity. I've registered for the event and this will be my first time attending it.
