Another vote for Seagate. That's what came in my PM G5, and I added another recently with which I'm very pleased. Quiet...no problems.

I was recomended the Seagate Barracuda from the ProTools forum, cos its quite and reliable.
Do the Seagate drives come in all PowerMacs or do they just put in whatever they can get their hands on at the time?

Glad to see they are still hardworking on fixing and improving "not-new" products.
I'm not sure I understand you. The 13" MacBook Pro affected by this update is the latest model. I certainly would call it new.

Was just wondering what everyone used to protect their macbooks, I'm not sure if I should get a sleeve or a hard case for my 13" mbp.

I think I fixed the slow handbrake problem. When I was queuing (sp?) up all the movies the last one I tried was the Hunt for Red October. Well with that one possible have region problems it never quit trying to scan source.
So I took all queued movies out of the queue and stopped the super slow encode and restarted. I started over and queued up everything except Hunt for Red October. So far fps is back up to averaging in the 30's. All seems back to normal.

It seems that every winter the Graphic's Labs in the Art building are very cold, especially with G5's. And in the Summer the room is uncomfortably hot.
But that is nothing compared to the fact that the photography darkroom is right above the G5 lab and a few years ago there was a leak from the pips. So, some genius decided to use some pipes and just divert the flow to the outside. You can still see the pipes used. Also, there is a very high pitched, ear ringing, sound emitted from the giant machinery hanging from the ceiling. At times even headphones can't block the noise.

literally just got Logic Pro 9 this morning... all I can say is thank god for support pages on Apple's site :D
Not into electronic music really... but for a MIDI controller I'd go for a MicroKORG XL and a Kaoss Pad, as they could be adapted to be used for what I do (alternative, slightly proggish rock and blues.)

Howdy. I have a Logitech G5, Logitech G9, and Razer Lachesis. I love 'em all but none has a Mac driver. :(
Do you use a laser mouse? If so, which do you use?
(I don't game, but the higher sensitivity works nicely for larger screen resolutions and some graphic design)

CD-Wow are selling that for 20 quid. Almost bought it till I remembered how much better Roller Coaster Tycoon was, though I might pick it up for portable sim-ability.

Really? We still use it (just for fun). There's some neat programs on it, etc. The printer still works, too. :)

Gotcha. So I think the best way to handle this would be to use Apache to handle all requests for both servers, and set up a ReverseProxy to handle traffic that should go to the Ruby server.
Check this site out: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/vhosts/examples.html
And this site for ReverseProxy: http://www.ehow.com/how_6108865_configure-apache-reverse-proxy.html
So, your config file in Apache should similar to this (be sure to enable the proxy module):
Listen 172.20.30.40:80

DocumentRoot /www/mainserver
# This is the other address - the one handling requests for Ruby
