This is the simplest Action Item ever, no travel, no holding placards, no visits to lawmakers, no real world activity. All that's needed is pen, paper, envelope and a stamp.I can't imagine anyone here who cannot afford any of these items.
Most members here will benefit here by 3 year EAD/APs, job flexibility and promotions. Members who missed the July VB boat, and new applicants, will get to apply 485 and get into the line. There was a hue and cry sometime back about restarting I-40 PP. Even that group stands to benefit as their demands are included too.
Hence the current low-level of participation is surprising. If we cannot collectively write even a letter for our cause, we might as well pack up or stop waiting/discussing VBs. They will be bleak for at least 4-5 years more. Come on folks, we can do better than this. We will write those letters and we'll succeed.
Write those letters and update the tracker. Your kids will thank you for it when they growup (all the money saved from 10 years EAD/AP can be turned into savings for them)

It is correct that a MBA will prepare one for mutiple fields, however the question being asked is specific for IT professionals who are trying to jump into management.
I believe the confusion is there between MBA and PMP, because some of the folks are at a juncture where they want to make a quick buck and are also thinking of career advancement.
Yes for a quick buck you can get a PMP and move up the ladder, but for long term sustainance you need MBA for senior management posts.

This I hope will convince more people to join and align themselves with IV's activities than going in their seperate ways.
Most of us will have ideas, but agreed with a consensus we should let IV Core decide on a set of activities and hopefully more members embrace it.
We can never control what anti's think or how immigrants are viewed etc. We ignore others and we fight for what we think is a just measure.
Look within ourselves than looking at others.
I hope more people embrace IV(monetarily, physically, morally) for us to be able to bring volume into our side of the arguments.

So those guys who attended the hearings or met with senators. what was the result? what did they accomplished? did they get the opportunity to participate with the senator or law maker in an action plan? or we just wasted that opportunity asking for autographs? please those guys post your comments.
So, with this posting I assume that you neither attended the rally nor put in any effort towards it cause. I sincerely wish I am wrong. Don't be so dumb and also claim that you are high skilled, they don't go together. Yes, we did get our autographs and we have the right to flaunt for what we did at DC. You have the right to post what you wish but don't ever again ridicule the people who put in the efforts.

Changing jobs after 180 days of I-1485 pending/ I-140 approved.
Simple question:
1. Should I file AC-21 Memo with USCIS or not?
2. What are the risks of filing AC-21?
Note: I am working on EAD in Texas and my Labor was at IL but similar job.
3. Does Ac-21 always trigger a RFE and/or Interview?
4. What are the advantages of filing AC-21?
Please advise.

The fact is republicans don’t like non whites to immigrate to US and the democrats are color blind to most extent but they are class conscious, they like illegals and poor people to immigrate to US because they can control them whereas they cannot control and herd the EB immigrants.
"reforming" the US immigration system by introducing a points based system where even existing applicants like the EB folks who have been in US for the last 10+ years have to re apply in points based nonsense system.
We will all have to fight for our cause but don’t have unrealistic expectations from CIR. Our best bet is a non cir piece meal bill visa recapture bill that addresses EB issues seperate from CIR, it is difficult to get such a bill passed but the chances for such a bill are better then Obama-durbin cir

My biggest fear is "choking up of the already inefficient system"...currently we at least can apply for something and expect it to be processed in few months (longer in some cases), get our EADs and APs renewed, call customer service with questions (although don't get needed info in most cases), get infopass....when they try to deal with "blue cards" and Z visas of 12 million plus illegals, none of this will be available.
And I do not want to start GC process from "scratch" in point bases system when I have spent so much time, money and energy in the current process...
Only and only Ron Gotcher can say "once CIR passes, everything will be current and stay current..." DREAM COME TRUE!

For AP renewal, do I need to send photos by mail again? I thought USCIS uses the picture on file. Folks please correct me if I am wrong. Could some one PM me the letter format?

Never the less we'll keep working on this bill and this also precisely why we're not pinning all of our hopes on only the Comprehensive Immigration Bill. We also have the PACE bill and the TALENT bill, which can bring a lot of relief to us.
Are there any plans by the senate or congress to to bring these two bills to the floor anytime? In other words, what is the current status of these two bills?

I think Meera Shankar needs to be fired. Its bloody 2010 and this is the kind of customer service the indian consulates provide - they dont pick up calls - it takes them a month to issue new passports - Always feel ashamed to be an indian any time I have to deal with these useless consulates.
The Houston consulate does not even have their address properly listed on their website.
This is what they have listed
1990, Post Oak Boulevard,
# 600, 3 Post Oak Central,
Houston TX 77056
So what is the correct address ?? Is it 1990 Post Oak Blvd or 3 Post Oak Central ?? Bunch of freaking idiots is what we have in all these US consulates.

Your idea is marvelous, I totally agree, if not five years, make it eight or ten years but should have something like that. I don�t know how easy/hard is to get this implemented. But we could try for at least some relief once a person finishes a decade in this country.
