Yes, "Interviewing" is not written there. And we all know that "Recruiting" or "Hiring" is not equivalent of "interviewing"
The employer will come up with many excuses to not interview a candidate or hire. If the law doesn't allow you to discriminate when hiring based on national origin or EAD or whatever, rejecting candidates even for an interview doesn't make sense.

So, you could just write back politely that you were surprised by the disqualification since the Department of Homeland Security (do not write USCIS) had issued the EAD and enquire if they know that DHS guides employers against discrimination towards EAD holders. You can mention or attach form I-9.
Alternatively if you want to hold their feet to the fire, you can contact a lawyer. Hiring a lawyer should get their attention. Let the lawyer contact them. And also let DHS know about this employer. Write to them.
In any case, we cannot let employers come up with their own laws after we have gone through so much to get to the EAD stage. The law is the law and we are following it.

this was not a mistake. this was not an accident.

All I 94 - does this mean all the I 94's you ever had or the I 94 that currently is in your possession.
I do not have copies of all the I 94's that were issued to me since my stay in US .. any body any thoughts?

Its like saying that do not report burglary in your home, as thief may do something bad to the family. Typical scare the victim approach.

What I am suggesting is that the right time to take this up is when a recession is not in full swing. Between 2004 (when this law was enacted) and 2007 was a great time to pick this battle. Maybe another year down the line would also be a great time to pick it. Picking up this particular battle right now would probably make YOUR and MY lives much more difficult in the medium term.
Like you and the OP - I am a selfish individual. I will pick up only those fights which are in my interest. I believe that this particular fight is a lose-lose proposition in the current climate. I am disputing your (and OPs) belief that this will be beneficial for you/me/rest of us.
Lets take the example of the same Goldman Sachs manager. Tomorrow ICE comes to him and says you need to get rid of these 50 guys under you. What will he do? He cant increase the budget in the current environment. So he probably will hire a couple of GC holders/Citizens and replaces the whole division (with 50 GC/Citizens besides the 50 'violators') with an offshore team.
Think about it!!
Now is the time when everybody is thinking in terms of cost cutting. If you create costly disruptions now - then either the company becomes GM and lose out to overseas competitors or migrates the eitire division out.

Good to see that there is some activity going on our cases..i got the response form USCIS saying that "the case is pending at the USCIS office" dose this means they transfered the case to local office? or still at NBC..dose your message says that the your case has been transfered to "local USCIS office" or just "USCIS office"?..
My online status says transferred to USCIS office, BUT the mail I got in response to my lost application inquiry stated LOCAL uscis office and that you will be called for interview whenever they are ready.

Type in congressman your city name in google or yahoo search. It will give you various names for your senator and congressmen. Call them and give them your name FN LN, DOB, Alien number and fedex / delivery tracking mnumber. They will call you back with relevant information.

I had bought a house 2 years back thinking that i will sell it after couple of years and make money. I know many people might have done that. I didnt knwo that having a house will become a burden for me wrt moving to a different place in search of a job. I do see jobs in cities outside my state and was thinking of applying for those jobs. My problem is that if i sell my house, i will have to pay from my own pocket.
Having a house in this market has become a pain as it has made me immobile with respect to good job offers.
I was thinking that incase i find a job in a different state and cannot travel back home frequently and also renting is not a good option then should i leave the house to the bank for foreclosure?
Will this affect my GC process. I have no plans of buying a house in coming years.
What might be an outcome of foreclosure, keeping in mind that i am wiating for my GC process.
If anyone had an experiecne like this or may know someone, please share ur thought..
Rent your house using Property management compnay. Why? While you are away from the state your house is, property mgmt. company will take care of renting your house as well as maintain everything, you will get less money and might have to shell out some money out of your pocket to pay mortgage.
In above case,
1. talk with your mortgage lender, see if they are willing to lower your monthly mortgage (e.g. by spreading it for 40 years instead of traditional 30 yr. loan)
2. Search for reputed Pro. mgmt. comp in your area, talk with them and see what are your chances of ending up a tenant.
3. I would suggest you to think twice before going for foreclosure as previous poster suggested.
4. If you decide to go for foreclosure, make sure you landup in a job before you go for the proceedings.
5. There are different types of foreclosures, research on which one will be less impact to you.

A new technique reqruiters are using is
"Hey, I am OK with EAD, it is just this particular client of mine who is not and I tried to educate this client but they do not listen. I tried placing another guy on EAD at this client but they rejected because of EAD and I placed so many people on EAD in other clients. So I hear you. Good luck with other jobs."
I still think it is some notorous reqruiters who apply the EAD filter. They do not want to deal with a lot of resumes and they want to apply that filter.
