I have no problem with homosexuality, but it is a legitimate medical prohibition given the higher risk factors for blood disease. Straight men that sleep with hookers, and intravenous drug users are also banned on the same grounds. I genuinely don't believe it is a deliberately discriminatory policy, just the unfortunate scientific reality.
I'm not gay, but I take offense to the idea of equating homosexual activity with "sleeping with hookers, and intravenous drug users". Just because someone is gay doesn't mean they sleep around, just like someone who is straight doesn't just sleep around. This is something that you should probably reflect on, in that gay people can be just as likely or not to sleep around and behave in risky ways as straight people can.

I wanted to be bad, I would point out that VW seems to be betting a lot money that what Americans want in a car is bigger and cheaper (in both senses of the word)...
But that might be considered baiting an easy target....

Apple's probably gone to DEFCON 1 after last year's prototype theft, so the iPhone 5 is delayed because everything is taking longer due to security clearances.
I would say DEFCON1, but 5 will still come out at the normal time. I think the rumor mill is going to be far less useful this year, after what happened with the prototypes and rumors last year. I have no doubt Apple is being even more secretive for possibly even going back to spreading false rumors themselves.
That said, I wouldn't expect much upgrade for the 5. Maybe faster cpu/gpu, 8mp rear cam, universal radio, antenna tweak. Other than the antenna, those are really minor changes, despite what spec-whores will say. Maybe LTE for Verizon, but that doesn't seem too likely right now since ATT and others don't have anything ready for 4G.

People have already been commenting on future generations/revisions of the shuffle.
This is how I see the shuffle's roadmap:
Currently, it is at 1GB.
I think the next revision will bump it to 2GB at the same price point. That's what happened with the nano AND shuffle a year later. (although the shuffle did increase by $10, maybe due to the dock/form factor difference?)
My opinion is that they can not have two shuffles at 1GB and 2GB because of the price right now, and the intrusion into the nano market. Right now, prove me if I'm wrong, 2GB flash memory costs anywhere from $50-$100?
I also see Apple chopping off the part on the left that does not have controls. They will move the headphone jack over as well as the controls so that it fits in a 1"x1" section. That will probably be 3rd Gen, maybe at 4GB.
I think by the time 4GB becomes cheap/small enough to fit in an under $99 price point, they will be able to chop off that left side.
SO in my own opinion:
1GB at $79
becomes
2GB at $79 (sept '07 iPod Special Event)
becomes
4GB at $69 (sept '08 iPod Special Event) w/ left side chopped off. The reduction in price is just due to less material costs because of smaller size and advancements in manufacturing/technology.
I really do think it will take two years to see a 4GB shuffle because of size and price. Apple has historically doubled the size at the same price for the nano and shuffle, and granted that is only a year's work of data.
What does everyone think?

I see TJ Maxx's acquisition of some iPads as a marketing scheme. If a few select stores have at least 5 to offer at a discounted price, imagine what kind of results they would get if they offered them as a Black Friday Doorbuster Special. They would probably get hundreds lined up at the door like Best Buy does for a deeply discounted HDTV or laptop. As for a warranty, I don't think they offer warranties on any of their products because they are a clearing house.
I think many people are missing the boat on Steve Jobs alleged statement. Saying TJ Maxx is "not an authorized reseller" is just stating a fact. It's not as if Apple even cares that TJ Maxx is doing this. In fact Jobs is probably happy at the fact that the iPad is getting yet more publicity at his competitors expense and spending $0 while doing so.
Precisely my dear Watson. By Job, I think you got it!!!:):o;):D

How do you make your dock just a black strip like you did?
Running geektool. Most of the desktops you see are running it to display computer information, weather, music, etc.
I'm also using a black dock with the icons.
•See this thread for Geektool (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=628023&highlight=geektool)

What!? I've had my iPhone 4 for seven whole days and I have not had this happen on my phone. Camera takes about 2-3 seconds to open on my phone-I do not have keyboard lag under maps and I have seen some amazing graphics (and no 'choppiness') with some of the games on my phone ('Death Rally' anyone?).
You might be having some problems with your phone-I haven't come across similar threads with your reported problems. I don't see this as a symptom of the iPhone 4 as being "a bit dated".
Is your iPhone set up as a brand new phone or restored from an old backup?
Because it definitely seems like iPhones (all models) slow down once they have a pretty long "history".

Nice insight... your sources?
Just my general awesomeness. ;)
I obviously have no sources. But I do think there are a few definitive patterns Apple follows. One of them is this - don't cannibalize sales or media attention by rolling out multiple new/big items at the same time; rather, allow for a couple of months at a minimum between a new iPhone and a new iPod line, or between a new iPad and a big refresh of Macs. Another pattern is that when they roll out a very new product (such as the iPhone 1, or Apple TV, etc.), make it fairly bare bones so that people can get used to it, so that it can begin an easy integration into your life, your home, and so on.
So why do I mention that? Because we all know (at least with 93% certainty) that the North Carolina data center is Apple's entry into some form of cloud computing. We also know that Amazon just threw the gauntlet down by unveiling its cloud. We also know things are moving fast with cable networks, studios, etc. racing to get apps and content onto your mobile device, especially your iPad.
All the while, the iPhone sales appear to be kicking ass, and besides a larger screen, there doesn't seem to be anything that Joe Public is fretting about not having in the iPhone. For the average non-macrumors.com crowd, the iPhone 4 is plenty sufficient and remains in high demand.
So, in my mind, I smush all of that "data" together, and I believe strongly that there is a blackboard in Steve Jobs office that looks at the forest - not the trees - and shows April/May media event to roll out cloud, and shows the summer as an educational time for consumers to begin integrating cloud into their lives, late summer a new line of iPods that make strong use of the cloud, and perhaps (emphasis on perhaps) a new iPad the has strong cloud integration for holiday sales.
Another way I look at the iPhone 4 is this - it's like when Apple plateaued, in a good way, with Leopard. Apple essentially said, this is awesome, let's chill with this. The most we'll do is tighten up the code a bit with Snow Leopard. The iPhone 4 is like Leopard. While us Apple geeks - me included - enjoy pondering how much more we need out of the iPhone 5, the reality is the vast majority of mobile phone customers are more than satisfied by the iPhone 4, and there is little need for Apple to take attention off the pending cloud release and focus on a iPhone 5.
Just
my
thoughts.
I yield the floor. ;)
