We are all aware of what going on at the Senate floor and also about the ammendments that put forth on the floor. So my question is clear anc simple what ammendment is supported by CORE IV and what are we looking for.
Because the passing of the current version of the bill will effect all the old cases which many people are in and I wont allow that to happen. I will try my best to avoid this situation to happen. Even though i have a MAster in engineering I will not support SKIL progran that will void the previously pending cases. Good try core IV yto make member to work towards the betterment of few people You know what such people are called" SELFFISH". Guys beware on whaT ACTIONS YOU ARE DOING SO THAT YOU WONT REPENT.
Cannot you read english and don't you understand.Read about the bill and IV's position on the bill in forum or search the forum.
We will not repent what ever happens.Atleast we are not giving up without fighting like you..Don't warn us about IV..if you don't trust IV..don't login here..

Even though this is your first post ever you are right, so you seem to understand things much better than people who have been following this forever. There are no favaroable amendments for us, the "good news" so far is proposed amendment from Collins which is going to abolish consulting for H1!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the sort of favorable amendmnets which will keep comming if the CIR comes back and on top of this, the reporter who wrote about this amendmnet, says that this brainwave amendment came after Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer met with Kyl!!!!!!!!!!
The moral of the story is, such "good" amendments will keep comming if tech industry keeps lobbying for us :mad:
Lets hope cir dies and if not then start opposing CIR
I seriously doubt if they will introduce favorable GC amendments in the next round.The focus is on the illegals and we will get negatively affected in the process. Our best course of action would be to oppose this bill and hope for it to fail. My 2 cents.

Can you please help, if there are some instructions handy. I am having difficulty for following fields
1. Manner of Last Entry : I think it should be PAR:PAROLEE YES. I USED SAME FOR MY WIFE
2. Current Immigration Status : Again think should be PAR:PAROLEE YES
3. There is a field where it asks for previous EAD's. I am not sure of the date when i applied last time, what date i should put, the date from which EAD is valid ?
I take this has to be the date of application. We didn't remember the exact application date for one of the EADs - we entered an approximate Date
4. Also i have applied for EAD twice, do we need to put the information for both of them. The information is not required...but its better to enter it
5. Other Names/Aliases : I think it should be 'None' in my case as i never had any other name, am i right or should it be left blank.

Soon after he tried to interfile his eb3 app for eb2 and he is currently appealing his NOID... reason 'inequality of credit weights from online masters since they are not transferable'.
Anybody know of anyone who has successfully gotten through to eb2 using an online masters? please pm me..thanks in advance.

if we were to be able to raise $1million somehow..
How much would you say it improves our chances of getting the IV missions accomplished?
If there can be some certainty & improvement of possibilities, i have feeling .. people will step forward.
You have noble intentions and I salute your spirit but it does not make practical sense to try and raise $1M when on the other thread, we have not even touched $15K!! At least, this will not happen with a donations only campaign. If a corporate were to sponsor, thats a different thing..
Again, I think all (ok, most!) the members would donate $2000 if there was assurance/certainty of positive outcome. A lot of people are sitting on the sidelines, hoping for a positive outcome, without contributing time and/or money.
People, please contribute time and money towards IV to help yourselves!

I am not aginst the OP or generalizing the B1 abuse. I am stating my opinion of what could be the reason behind the denial. You know, now a days even people are getting 221g for the H4 stamping. It does not matter what visa you are going for, the US consulates just looking for a execuse to reject. Not only in India, there are lot of people getting 221g in Canada, and got stuck up there.
I agree with you that these days it is really hard to get any kind of visa the inherent intent is to deny. I also happen to know of acase first hand where H4 was denied (E-E Memo).

Hello Everyone -
I am trying to understand importance of PD after one files 485. I filed my 485 in Jul 2007 and got FP in Sep 07. Then I got a notice for in person interview with USCIS officer. At the end of interview the USCIS officer indicated that the case is approved but will have to wait for Visa # to get the GC. The interview had happened in the month of Feb when visa for EB2 was Unavailable. My PD is Nov 06 and I am just trying to understand how this process will work.
Will my GC be processed when the dates on visa bulletin will be show have nov 06 or it will just get processed as there is no reason to hold the adjudication? Background check or any other

I am in great need of some suggestions. I hold a MS degree in computer science and graduate in 2004 dec. Since then I have been with the same employer.
Now that he is filing for my LC. Is it difficult to get through with MS+0yrs of expereince ?
Also, at this point of time i have found other employers who is willing to do my GC in which case I will have MS+2 yrs of expereince.
Is it worth changing employer for gaining 2 yrs of expereince for my LC.
Does this really make my case more stronger ? or I am just OVER REACTING ? and doing unneccessary thing
DOES THE EXPEREINCE with MS makes it better for EB2 ?

Please advise if 5.5+ years of experience and an Advanced degree in Electronics would qualify me for porting me from EB2 to EB1. I have been waiting to file for my I-140 over an year now but things aren't looking anywhere near to it.

Brief Description of my Case Joined Vision Systems Group INC,(VSGInc), Southplains Field, NJ in the year March 2003. My H1B was transferred to VSG Inc from my previous company which got merged with another company. VSG Inc filed my Labor Certification in 2003 (EB3) on Dec 23,2003 which has gone to Back Log Center, Harrisburg, PA and got approved only in Dec, 2006. In July 2006 VSG Inc, filed PERM under EB2 and got approved and filed I140 under EB2. But when USCIS sent RFE, my company has withdrawn the I140 without responding to RFE. In July 2007, during 2007 visa fiasco, VSG Inc filed I140 electronically, and I485 and other papers concurrently in July 02, 2007. Got the receipt notices for I140 dated 07-02-2007 and for I485 and others on 06-05-2008. Received EAD and travel docs in July 2008. My I140 is still pending at Nebraska Service center as on date. When contacted trough the Local Congress Man, Dept. Of Home land Security replied on Feb 09, 2009 as follows: �The processing of I-140 has been delayed, not yet ready for decision as it has been selected for extended security review, independent of FBI name check and fingerprints. Until the review is completed, we cannot move forward on this case. We will make every effort to make a decision on this case as soon as the review is complete. However, we have contacted the security team POC to see if this case can be reviewed to see if it can be moved for adjudication.� VISION SYSTEMS GROUP, INC., a New Jersey Domestic Profit Corporation, with a branch office in Coon Rapids, Iowa, was also indicted in a ten count federal indictment that included one count of conspiracy, eight counts of mail fraud, and one count of �Notice of Forfeiture� in the amount of $7,400,000. The investigation is being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in collaboration with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services - Fraud Detection and National Security Division (FDNS); U.S. Department of Labor - Office of Inspector General; U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS); U.S. Department of State; and is supported by the U.S. Attorney�s Office for the Southern District of Iowa. I have a Green card and also my wife has GC .My wife is expected to deliver a baby.Shw wants the delivery to be in India and then come back...in that case what VISA will the new baby have to apply US when my wife returns back to US.

Given your situation, you guys will be staying away from kid for a decade or more. Once your wife delivers the baby in India, file for a baby's green card. For tentative dates on family reunion, please refer family based 2nd preferences at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_4428.html - lighter note these dates or tentative only not written in stone :D

However last year at the time of July isa bulletin fiasco, I asked my employer from WY in 2004 to file for an I-140 based on the previous approved labor condition in 2004 to retain that priority date under EB -2.
Employer knows I have no intent of joining them after the green card and I have my own practice , so i donot intend to join the practice.
In this scenario, if this considered a misuse of retaining priority date and how do i prove the intent and will the USCIS allow a situation like this?

We are not in Chicago. Their POE is in Chicago. I may have to go to the local USCIS office and clarify it.
I am also checking with the Attorney.
You can go to the closest international airport's CBP. USCIS local office cannot do anything about it. Only CBP can.
