Buddy! I am not too sure about that. But according to my understanding security check is an optional thing depending on the job profile but this PIMS is for everyone. I am not too sure how long is the delay because of PIMS in Toronto. But ppl in India have waited on an average for 2 weeks. Again, some of them got their visa right away also. So, you may wanna call consulate and ask them if you are stuck coz of PIMS or also for additional security checks.
But in the end, I can say..dont worry! hang on there...you are not alone in this.

Pardon my ignorance!
My understanding was American companies are setting up shops in India for cheap labor and still provide services for mostly American consumers and not Indians. And for Oracle they can bring any number of Indians here on H1/L1/B1 visas. So what make them pay $120K in India (I assume he is still a software engineer, else he would have been getting more than $120K here!)
My brother chose to leave USA on his own, after working for 6 years, without applying GC. He was getting 120K here in USA. In India, he joined Oracle Corp and his salary is almost same (about Rs.55Lacs). Indian salaries are becoming excellent these days.

Recently I sponsored my sister and her family to visit us in Summer of 2006. I had sent all the papers as required for applying for visitors visa. But the application was denied as consular was not satisfied.
Please suggest any ideas that could have helped in getting the visa. Since I was sponsoring her and taking full charge of her stay related expenses then why was it denied? What else is needed?

One is in Fremont CA and other in Pittsburg. Both are offering almost same salary.
So which should be an better option, if they have a similar better client list?

This question is specific to Indian nationals with children born in US.
Has anyone on H1 or pending 485 received OCI for their US born child? We were able to get OCI for our first child a few years ago but the rules seem to have changed and cgisf.org states that a child whose both parents are Indian citizens can't get OCI. Any ideas? Is PIO the right option now?

I think there is a crack in the rules. What if the labor is approved and I140 is pending? No 7th year H and no 3 years. Is that right?

Non-Permanent Non-Resident alien - Foreign students fall in this category (but it is not limited to them). �Non Permanent� comes from F-1 visa which is a temporary visa and Non Resident because you do not have intentions to live in the US permanently (or at least that is the farce that US embassy wants to listen). If you are on F-1 visa during, that time period you are not supposed to pay social security (6.5%) and Medicare taxes. Thanks to Non-Resident status. This is also applicable during 1 year OPT work permit that comes after F1.

1. Resume

3. Bachelor's Mark Sheets,Degree & Transcript
4. Previous H1B Approval Copies
5. Old & New passport copies
6. I-94 Copy (Front & Back)
7. Client Letter with resposiblities,role,technologies & project details (without end date)
8. Business card for me from client
9. Business card for Client Manaager
10. Vendor Letter with resposiblities & project details (stating that can't provide contract papers between vendor & client due to client's policy)
11. Last six months pay checks.
12. Last three years W2’s (2007, 2008, 2009)
13. Copy of I-140(EB-2) Approval notice
14. SSN Copy
15. Driver License Copy
16. Degree evaluation report
17. Contract papers between employer & vendor (not purchase/work order)
