For all Eb3s along with EB2s with PD after April 2005, the movement in the coming visa bulletins wont be much encoraging unless the new Obama government does something significant about employent based category or immigrationvoice does a fruitful lobbying. The doings of something by obama government to employment based category is not in our hands. The only thing we could do is to help IV and help ourrselves by contributing to it to reach its financial target for better lobbying. Or else wait for the Visa Bulletin every month with great hopes, sorry dreams, for your PD to become current, and satisfy with your EADs for years ahead

As you see most of them are free members who have nothing to do with the immigration reform. They just keep browsing around the pages to see if there is any hope of getting GC any sooner and others are disguised Antis and marketing guys.
So just don't get bothered by these members and their comments.
The guys who are serious , have already proved themselves by becoming the donors and working sincerely towards the solution.

I have been busy the last 2 weekends collecting signatures from all my friends, neighbors and colleagues.
2 parties, 3 play dates and 10 days later, I have managed to get a total of 53 letters signed. I will be posting all of them today.
Please do your part in sending in signed letters. It is really easy, especially if you have the templates ready. This is going to be a big win for IV if we can accomplish it.

I was thinking how to get a high tec job with Z visa. Because you might need to tell the employer that you are on Z visa. Tech employer might be hesitent to give us job on Z visa.
But you can start a new company and do consulting. You do not need to tell them what status you are in. All they need to know is you are a employee XYZ company.

Looks like it took it a bit to propagate across USCIS servers. Or else, they put it up and took it down, then put up again.
With the EAD at Nebraska officially being at 112 days (zero movement since June 18 processing times release), it is no surprise they don't respond to expedited/interim EAD requests anymore when it goes over 90 days. Will we have to file mandamus suits on EAD soon?

Mr. Murthy didn't bring out the message correctly. If you read clearly his message is directed towards state govts which dont provide infrastructure and mandatory English as education. So, I think he meant that as long as state govts act upon giving good infrastructure and mandatory English, young talent will remain in India.

The man is worth $1.6 billion and need not resort to such cheap gimmicks and hez no longer the chief of Infosys. And the guy who cant interpret a simple message and calling it a gimmick whoz he? I checked with some of my colleagues and friends. They all have sent the letters, but most of them have not participated in this poll at the start. So I wouldnt get discouraged by smaller number of votes in it.

Dude, You are looking at not getting a RFE based on the pics. Not that picture people or JCPenny takes great pics and make u look like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise.

I had real bad experience with digital pics. But there are many people who didnt have any issues. So it is all your luck.

My experience with Picture People was ok - fair, I guess those are fine pictures as per USCIS specifications, but nothing out of the ordinary. 14.99 for a set of 4 pictures. Set me back about $80 for 3 sets of 8 pictures.
But my own pictures came out better and are as per specifications. The question is whether to take a chance in case i missed anything or to go with Ok-Fair pictures from Picture People. decisions.. decisions... damn.. retrogression

I have noticed soft LUD's on all receipts including I140, H1B with all other receipts (485, EAD and AP) for my self and my spouse after using AC21 with H1B transfer.
Not received FP yet and did not call Service center for it.

- My question still remains : Is it necessary to go for labor substitution to use this approved labor (showing the name of old consultant)... OR ... Can it be possible to file I-140 straight with my profile against this labor....?

Well .. there you go. When I predicted few weeks ago that there will be a big jump in the priority dates, some of us came up with big speeches about how that thread was a big waste of time and the thread should be closed. The thread in fact was closed without any explanation. It appears that there has been several occasions where moderators are just closing the threads without any explanation.

Understand that, but do you really think (s)he is worried about that at this moment any more than his next board meeting with the board members and CEO. Not increasing H1B quota itself and allowing lottery for highly skilled program, go figure sends some signal that they do not care if you graduate from MIT or from an unknown university in tahiti. How do you really test highly skilled??? by lottery?? dah!!!
From a senator or CIO level of view if you can get it cheap why not. It comes down to Toyota carolla or Mercedes CLS550 when you are only concerned about getting from point A to point B, enjoying the ride is not in question here.

At the next Ombudsman call I am going to raise the issue of USCIS's declared commitment to FIFO but actions that seem completely contrary to it.
Obviously anonymous postings in open forums cannot be presented as evidence but one can certainly request the Ombudsman's office to ask for monthly 485 approval statistics and the cat will be out of the bag. By the time the wheels of Goverment bureaucracy move it might be a month or two before this data is made available to the Ombudsman's Office; forget the applicants - that will be like asking for the moon.
Regardless of whether I get approved or not in the next month or two; from a process perspective a monthly approval report going from the USCIS to the Ombudsman's Office each month should hopefully force them to stop this stonewalling and walk the talk.
This will not only help EB2s down the line but spare a thought for next year when EB2 is current, EB3 has a cut off of June 1, 2006 and we start seeing May 2006 EB3 approvals when 2001/02 EB3s are still pending. If thats the case then why don't they move the PD forward. EB3-I is stuck in 2001 since last 3 years and its not moving forward at all. How can we get some help here, ombudsman?

to get the receipts. Lets not bug them and have them work instead on receipting. With over 500K+ applications, it'd be a while to get the reciept..

Hi,
I think at this point, you need to show that the original 2000 graduation date was final and true. I would try to get a letter from your school stating that you did graduate with B.S. degree in 2000 and 2000 was the graduation year. Try to get an official letter stating that. The letter could, if possible, explain why later dates appear on you degree transcript. However, it must underline that you graduated in year 2000.
If you can get an official letter from your university that will be great.
I am sure u have the passing out certificate, character certificate from your college which must be saying u are done with ur degree in 2000.
See the thing is you graduated in 2000, but u have some supplimental exams which u took in 2001 and 2002. I am just curious, do you have separate marksheets for supplimental exams. If yes, then check with your university, if they can club those mark sheets in to the old ones.
I have seen ppl getting it done. The subject u had to retake will have a star on it.
