This might have a huge impact on people who held a H4 b4 switching to H1B!

They decoupled the H2->h1 and the L2->L1. But not H4->L1 or L2->H1.
Even though their reasoning for doing it applies to these cases too.

A suggestion. Pass it on to all your friends and colleagues who might be fellow travellers in this EB journey or may know someone who are, and sympathetic to the plight.
I have just done that....and will also call them and ask them to vote.
In the past, your friends may not have responded to such requests to vote or write to senators. Don't be disheartened. Everyone in this mess is suffering. So, keep asking friends nevertheless, to vote and express support.

I think the DHS-7001 form needs to be signed by the HR of your company.So I guess your company/lawyer will need to be involved.
No, that is not true. It has nothing to do with lawyers or the HR people. I-485 is YOUR filing (not of your employer's HR). By sending this you merely want to draw attention about something which you believe or hope should happen, and unless immediate attention is drawn you might suffer a loss (in this case, visas may be used up by others simply because someone did not care about your case, or just took the case to process and then went on long holiday etc. Such thing can happen and do happen particularly when paper files have to be worked with). Took close to 90 days with NSC.

WOW --Right from relationship between coutries tot he pros and cons of war planes we are discussing here.We have people with nice political knowledge per se Ministers and Kings who can analyze how just 11 billion (bully)dollar deal can affect the Green card processing and we have Generals and colonels who knows which fghter plane is good for which country.
But still we are able to manage only around 200 for the advocasy event and large amount of donataions which barely met the expenses. what a pity ;)

To all the sufferers, please pursue your case with vigor at every opportunity.
I am glad to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I saw a welcome e-mail from USCIS today in the morning. Took 6 years to get the GC with a total stay of 10 years.

I am currently looking for a Good Attorney for this.
I have contacted Sheela Murthy's Office and Rajiv Khanna's Office.
Both of them are very very expensive.
I am looking for an Attorney who charges under $1000 and also knows
about the Immigration Matters.
I would appreciate any pointers and suggestions in this regards.
I believe it is not a problem, I have read in other threads. but I would suggest lot of attorneys are only taking 300 or 500 dollars to file aC21. it is worth spending.

members who are being silent because they received their EADs - therefore are ready to wait (long times if necessary.......)
members who are silent, because that is their nature or fear that active participation will somehow adversely affect them ............ this is bad, because they have nothing to fear and IV as an advocacy group will benefit tremendously for pushing for legislation/support of lawmakers - which will ultimately benefit us all.............
members who are anti immigrants, just reading all our posts, calculating our strengths and weaknesses and using it against us when the time comes.........
Wish I could convince every 45,000 or more members of this organization to be vocal and committed to participation.............
