2nd best engineering college in Rajasthan? There were 25 states in India , now including IITs, & NITs and BITS, that would make it, atleast 30 colleges in India which are better than yours. And here we are just talking of engineering colleges. Not even mentioned about medical or others. So yours would be like probably 50th best college in India. That is certainly not the best and brightest. I am from top 10 engineering colleges of India at the time.
My brother is a gold medalist in CS from India's top NIT and has done MS here from top 10 universities. My wife has also done MS from here (top 20 school) with a good GPA.
So give up ur GC now for recapture and go back! The better and brighter are waiting for it behind you.

I personally think it is the worst thing that a person can do - I have done some research on the money that you can make on such pyramid businesses and it is pitiful ..maybe a beggar makes more. it comes to around 2 -3 percent cash and when you add the time you lose standing in walmarts, temples etc, the loss of your time, loss of friends, loss of time towards your kids and you can make out that it is a BIG WASTE. in the end it is a pyramid and ponzi scheme ...those who join late will always be the LOSER's. you can make more money by working part-time even in some super mart's.

I tried to determine, on a separate thread, the wait times for EB-2 India, EB-3 ROW, and EB-3 India.
ANd I failed miserably. My models didn't make much sense. So I quit trying to come up with a reasonable, mathematical, estimate on the wait times.
The reason I was trying to determine wait times, was so that I could then convince people to join and contribute for IV. Basically, a media campaign, geared towards our base.
Anyway, the point of this post is this. I don't need reasonable, mathematical estimates. Maybe, all I need is a quote. A quote from someone knowledgeable, like Aman. Or some lawyers association. Some chimpanzee from USCIS. I don't know. Just something that says 'It will take 10-15 years for EB-3 India to get their greencards.' Or something like that for EB-3 ROW/EB-2 India.

I am not saying 7% is not applicable for recaptured numbers. EB3-ROW was current while EB3-IN,Ch retrogressed in 2005.

I am saying how they end up in America in greater numbers than any other country. China, Pakistan, Israel also produces lots of IT gradutes but they don't have the bodyshop connection to land here with an NIIT certificate.

The difference between your idea and mine is your thinking is still stuck in the 16th century. He is Indian, he is Chinese, he is Mexican etc, while I see everyone as human beings. There lies the difference.
EB Immigration is just 12% of all immigrants. How can it affect diversity of the country? With all the country quotas in place, US is becoming hispanisized with Hispanics slated to become 25% of the population ! So much for the much touted 'diversity' !

I think it would serve better to our community to channel our efforts toward eliminating the need of EAD and AP document and have I-485 receipt serve as those documents. It will take the pain away for the waiting people.
All the USCIS needs to do is to declare that they will accept I-485 receipt as a proof for employment eligibility (maybe along with passport etc.)
i mean afterall, do you really think that congress will pass any legal immigration bill before election? i dont think so, it probably would be in the lame duck session if we are lucky.

I am a patriotic Indian. Why the hell cant this Khan guy go through the same ordeal as an ordinary Indian or any other passenger. Why all the fuss? Is he god??? Hell NO...I would just tell him to shut up and carry on with life. He is an idiot and just doing this for more publicity. How many Indian muslims go through this shit everyday? Why cant he tolerate this 2 hr ordeal like an ordinary Indian muslim or for that matter hindu? Racial profiling is for everyone who is colored and non-US citizen. Dont a CAN PR Card holder need to live in CA for 3/4 yrs before he gets to file for Citizenship? If you live in CAN for 3/4 yrs and have citizenship, you have basically no problems living in CAN. (not with the weather, only economic hardships). Now, I dont know whether people can get away with citizenship some how without living in CAN. If the GC mess is same here, why would you want to come back here on TN visa and live an uncertain life or with a plan B that takes you back to CAN incase of any discrepancy.

its a simple logic to include those who already bought a house.

aps, no one keeps their money in bank as cash. everyone must have invested somewhere else. they should bring it back. thats the idea here. if u don't like the idea why not you keep out of this.
Current homeowners who are waiting for their GC MUST also be exempted from cap. This clause has to be there. Without having any gurantee of getting GC these folks have invested their savings in buying home even when the prices were high, WHY because they had real intent of making US their permanent home. So these people should too be exempted from EB cap.
