I am still not able to figure about while entering US, how they know that you have AP? Do they have any way to find out that you have applied for AP? If not, then once you have H1B stamp in your passport, it should be smooth entry...
I am not local to Mumbai and I hate to go to the visa stamp as they always treat us bad..
Also, My H1B expires Jun 2010. Can I extend H1B if I enter in US using AP without having H1B stamp in passport?

This article has an overall competitiveness argument saying that the American Competitiveness is not under a threat.
The PACE act is to protect that IN ADVANCE from happening...ie. having the american competitiveness under a threat from India and China.
I am going to discredit one argument in his article:
He says: We do an outstanding job of education for people ages 18 to 65. I beg to differ. If that is his argument to claim that there is no shortage of talent, then he ought to read a survey report funded by Pew Charitable research. The tools used was the same used by National Assessment of Adult Literacy, the government's examination of English literacy among adults.
More than 50% of students at four-year schools and more than 75% at two-year colleges lacked the skills to perform complex literacy tasks.
That means they could not interpret a table about exercise and blood pressure, understand the arguments of newspaper editorials, compare credit card offers with different interest rates and annual fees or summarize results of a survey about parental involvement in school.
The survey examined college and university students nearing the end of their degree programs. The students did the worst on matters involving math, according to the study.
Almost 20% of students pursuing four-year degrees had only basic quantitative skills. For example, the students could not estimate if their car had enough gas to get to the service station. About 30% of two-year students had only basic math skills.

The USCIS looks at the EAD eligibility option. And that option is there as I-485 applicant. (also this is a must field on the EAD application online where as the visa status is not)
But on the current visa status there is no option saying that you are an adjustee and so the CS person (She was not sure) said that visa status considered is the last applied visa status. So if you were on H1B its better to put H1B. I also saw this on a website somewhere.

OCI's can work without visa. ALL PIO's are eligible for OCI.
Beg to differ. All PIOs are not eligible for OCI. There are different requirements for OCI than PIO.
Say for example you are still on H1 or GC and your minor child is a citizen of USA by birth, your child is not eligible for OCI. They will be eligible for OCI when they are a major or when you become a US citizen.

Ok i think u got me misunderstood : Ok to alleviate : Address A - My current address
Address B -- My friends address.
B is in IL , A is in CT. Now all my credit card statements , USCIS all other except DMV drivers license are in A. Only DL is with B reason i moved recently and not sure how many days this is going to work and since moving car registration etc is expensive thing in CT and there is no certainity on how it works . Now i am changing back my DL and Car registration hence asked this Question , i am well aware of fall backs of USCIS hence changed within 10 days filed AR-11 and all pending petetions and USCIS started corresponding with this new address.

yes it is like that all these years, but atleast now I hope them to use their idle and rusty brain.
There are tons of people with approved 140 with 2006/2007 PD. Even if they process they will not be in the position to grant GC to these people due to lack of visa numbers. So I hope they sort it out and process the applications based on PD.
The applications themselves are processed by receipt date but the approval still depends on your PD.Someone correct me if I am wrong...
