Doubtful since their warranty does not transfer to a second hand buyer. If I were to buy an iPod and then sell it on ebay a few weeks later the new owner would not be covered.

I had them replace a third gen nano one time that broke and was at the end of its warranty that I bought off of ebay (and I freely admitted it to them too).

VersionTracker.com is indispensable for, personally.. With most software phoning for updates though, it's a bit overkill for VTP, so you're right on that one.

The "member" "freebies" on .Mac are the toaster over give away of the intarweb land. Lame x 3

.Mac used to (still does?) have a pretty nice discount on VersionTracker Pro/MacFixIt Pro. I sprung for it one year; didn't use the extras nearly enough to justify it, and even the paid version of MacFixIt is way too ponderous and difficult to search to have much worth. I do use VersionTracker Plus' features pretty heavily, so I would have paid for it anyway.

But .Mac did offer up a few nice discounts on shareware over the years that I put to good use. (And no, Virex doesn't count!) Nothing that would make you pay full price for the service, but enough to ease the pain noticeably.

I know the holiday has passed, but can't we leave it in the themes? Great halloween songs come along year 'round (especially with Apple adding new music to the iTMS every week).

Are we gonna have to recomend the same songs over again next year, or has the theme just been hidden for now?

I have always used my iphone 4 with the supplied USB cable. Yesterday when I plugged it i I got the yellow triangle symobol & the message

"charging is not supported with this accessory".

I have tried all the USB connections on my PC and still the same message.

Any help would be appreciated.
