same way you prove that in the case of I-140... by writing up letters exlaining job duties... and showing offer letter, pay stubs, company tax returns and/or quarterly tax receipts, client contracts... etc etc etc... again: what is your true point? why do you suspect that this is difficult?
Its not ability to pay issue? The main point is to show that job is real, and bonafine.
May I ask, how do you plan to demonstate that job offered in self employment is same/similar to I-140 job and it is bonafide job offer?

The basic law governing immigration and naturalization is contained in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) of 1952. The INA establishes a flexible level of permanent admissions. The Act provides for a permanent worldwide level of 675,000 immigrants each year. The worldwide level is flexible in that it may be exceeded in certain circumstances. The permanent immigrant level consists of the following components: (a) family-sponsored immigrants, including immediate relatives of U.S. citizens and family-sponsored preference immigrants; (b) employment-based preference immigrants; and (c) diversity immigrants, those immigrants with low admission levels who must have a high school education or its equivalent or a minimum of two years work experience in a profession requiring two years of training or experience. Legal immigration has had a positive impact on the United States and our economy. The majority of the other legal immigrants are permitted to remain in this country for humanitarian reasons. Studies have also shown that within several short years, most immigrants are net producers, rather than net consumers, in our economy. While there is certainly a legitimate debate regarding the appropriate level of immigration, most would agree that an immigration policy which promotes family unity and requires a certain degree of self-support is generally acceptable.
However, there is a significant difference between legal and illegal immigration. Since my election to Congress in 2000, I have worked with my colleagues to ensure that our border is more secure and that we do not encourage people to come into our country illegally. Illegal aliens place a tremendous financial and social burden on our society, and we must work to stop this unfair practice.
The best way to get illegal immigration under control is to secure our borders. Our porous borders have allowed more than ten million people to cross into our country with no oversight, no accountability, and no record. We simply have no idea who they are, where they came from, and most importantly - why they entered our country illegally. I believe we must increase the size of the Border Patrol to 18,000 agents, we must actively construct a double barrier wall and utilize technological innovations, such as unmanned aerial vehicles, to conduct surveillance operations along the remaining border.
Once we have secured our borders, we must turn our attention to the more than 12 million illegal immigrants already residing here. There are varying proposals currently being debated here in Washington as to what is the most economically feasible approach to addressing this situation. I do not support amnesty for those individuals who have broken our laws and will work to deport those individuals who have become a financial and social burden on our society. I believe that we must establish an Employer Verification System that is easy to use and provides timely feedback to employers. Any employer that continues to knowingly employ illegal aliens should be assessed heavy fines and penalties.
I look forward to debating this issue during the year to come and assure you that I will continue to support revisions to our current immigration policy that provide meaningful reform and offer maximum protection for our borders. Additionally, I will oppose any attempts to provide amnesty to the more than 12 million illegal immigrants currently living in this country.

As proof of funds for landing, do we need to carry cashiers-checks etc or just a plain printout of bank-statement (INGDirect) is good enough?

I also filled G-28 for and sent AC21 with EAD renewal. The LUD is updated for all applications (i.e. I-485, I-140, previous I765 and I-131). Does this mean they changed the attorney representation in all previously approved cases?
I think your assumption is correct. Even i sent G28 recently with AC21, i got SoftLUD on all my cases including the previous approved ones.

Guys,
We are like MLK of our modern times. Just observe that it may take a long time to change this. Actual outcome of our efforts may come to fruition in 10-20 years from now. It is the reality folks.
The only problem is that MLK was a US citizen. We are not. We have a very bad mood against us. Like it or not, to our disadvantage we have all sentiment against illegal immigration spilling over us as well. Let me tell you, I no longer discuss, comment or let Americans, not even close people know about my situation. Do you know why? People actually may not tell you, but the vast majority of Americans actually are delighted when we say we and our wives live with such restrictions.
My conclusion is this:
If you are able to fire resumes back to home country or Australia and you can get good opportunities elsewhere, do not waste your time here anymore. Our golden professional years are the ones between 25-40. If you achieve your freedom only after 40 you may find yourself in a bad shape. At 40 I must be well established professionally already.
One more thing:
We have been very lucky so far. God Forbidden, if there is one major terrorist attack in this country, you will see this Congress AND the American people with enough ammo to turn their big guns against us big time. Do you really think people will waste time with us? I am not saying that is going to happen, but I am saying if we spend our lives here and we do not take the opportunities back home, that may be a risky move indeed.
Think of it this way..We are foreigners 12K miles from Home...We are here and trying to change the laws of this country...They are listening to us a bit...That in itself is a big achivement.....It is not gonna happen overnight...It is gonna be a long haul and more...Even after the law changes we would need to look out for actual implementation..So you better harden yourself for a long protracted fight...No one promised that this is gonna be easy...You and I have invested so much time ...you and I have no option but to fight it out...

Excluding dependents is like making the Cap 2.5 times, when I say least controversial I intend to that everybody in the legal immigrant community will support it. If the cap becomes 300K Per annum, Iam sure everybody by which I mean even if somebody has filed for his / her labor today will get approved within 2 years (Equivalent to 600K visa numbers). Of course this will require a change of law but nobody EB1, EB2, EB3, ROW, India / China would oppose this as everybody's process gets speeded up. There is no other way to clear the backlog in its entirety and ensure that it does not happen again like this solution of excluding dependents.

If one of them has to be promoted, who will it be ? Or if the company is now going under, who will get fired first ?
The fact that a person has been with a company for 10 yrs holds enough merit when the company decides who gets promoted or who gets fired. So my friend stand in line like everyone else based on your priority date. That is your place in the line as per law.
A person has been with a company for 10 years as a Test Lead and is promoted to a position of a manager and the Lead expects that on the first day of being a manager he wants all the rights and benefits of being a manager for 10 years even though he has been a lead for all of those 10 years.
