The first step you should get your employer to do is to file a job order in the state job bank or americas job bank. You have to keep this ad for 30 days and then wait another 30 days to file PERM. This is the longest time. All other forms of recruitment needs to wait only 30 days and you can file PERM on the 31st day. There is no mention of working days or weekends, it is 30 continuous days. As you know in addition to this job bank order, and two Sunday newspaper ads, there has to be three other forms of recruitment before you can file PERM. If your employer and lawyer are really proactive it will only take 60 days to file PERM from start to finish. You also have to get a prevailing wage determination and post it at your job site for 10 days not including holidays and weekends. Hope this helps. My GC was approved today... I came to the US 10 years back. It's been such a long journey that it's tiring to even think about it. The backlog processing center, re-starting the GC process, Several H1b visa stamps, July fiasco rollercoster... At this point I think I am just tired - not happy, not sad...

All my colleagues had house.
I was tired of moving from apartment to apartment , nodding to apartment rules, parking problems, twice brake-in's , small kitchens /bedrooms . Crowded common amenities etc.
Buying house has sure maintenance pain, but few pains give fun.
I donot have to worry about rising apartment rents vs steady mortgage payments ( According to my calculation ,owning is cheaper ,lot cheaper in long run )
Well, I am in Dallas,TX...so things are roomy and cheap here.

i just looked at the amendments in detail and this provision was in SA 180.
I am a bit unsure though of what happened to SA 180. Did it get amended by some other amendment. It does not appear to have been tabled. I apologize to everyone but I had stated right in the beginning that I may be totally wrong.

I don't agree with this comment. I don't have full confidence on congress to pass full CIR bill this year. After this year, the hope will get dimmer. This proposal is better than nothing. It can propably release EB2 immediately. And move EB3 forward significantly.
Although it is not passed, we should push for anything that contains some EB relief.

Had this been enacted, it would have affected the upcoming CIR bill or special legislation for Employment-Based immigration system reform. This reporter was shocked to learn that this bill provided practically no relief for the employment-based imigrants other than farm workers and the children eligible for DREAM Act bill. The bill was extremely imbalanced legislation in a way from the perspectives of the "Comprehensive" Immigration Reform.
We will see whether the Senate leaders will indeed complete and introduce the CIR proposal next month.

Can you explain how does Nasdaq mini or S&P futures differ from stock. My understanding is that technicals are same behind any asset class.
If you could share your charts and explain your strategy, it will be a great help to all of us.

two reasons
one, to vote, exercise a democratic principle, you can't complain about the government unless you actively participated.
two, I have 3 kids, and it's likely they'll stay here, my 12 year olds were 3 when we first arrived. My lawyer highly recommended we consider citizenship after another client had challenges. Despite good parenting this guy's kids got into trouble with the law, to the extent that they had their green cards revoked and they were in deportation process. However had they been US citizens whilst there were consequences they wouldn't have their citizenship revoked.
Not great reasons for some...
Q 1: What if one's native country is also a democracy?
Q 2: If one is already a citizen of democratic country other than US and same scenario will happen then one's kids will not have revoked citizenship (That other country's) as well if one decides to maintain his/her original citizenship ...

Dependent should be removed from the cap or the primary applicant should be able to bring the dependet to US with some kind of visa while the primary applicant is using EAD/GC(its ok if this visa does not allow the dependent to work in US untill the PD becomes current and his/her 485 is filed)
At present there are many singles/married who are not switching to EAD in order not to jeoperdize the spouse H4 visa.

I do not believe that all consulting companies are alike. They may have a similar operating model and thus similar issues like turnover. But their attitude towards their employees differs substantially. Most of us consultants do not have a source of information on how good a consulting company is and most of do not share information. I checked out these sites (http://jobvendorreview.com and http://skipnext.com ) before switching and noticed that we are a reluctant community to share information.
